If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. ~Alice

Third Person POV

*Fifty Years Later*

"Friends, families, we gather here today to honor the life of the deceased," Viola said as she stood in front of a large group of people. Her three sisters at her side as they were ready to speak.

Inside the audience were too many familiar faces. Calum, Ashton, Ettie, Gena, Winston and even Terra for the heartbreaking occasion.

"My father was a good man." Katy spoke. Her eyes already welling with tears, tears her younger sister already released. "And shamefully enough, I have lost both of my fathers in the past three months."

"Shamefully enough," Vanessa picked up while Katy's voice shook and quivered. "After my father, many as you knew as Michael, has passed several months ago. My other father, Luke, fell into a deep depression that seemed incurable." Vanessa paused.

"Let me," The fourth, last, and youngest daughter whispered to Vanessa.

"Go ahead Annabella." Vanessa said as she wipes under her eyes.

"As you may all understand, this is a very difficult time for us." Annabella breathed. "As my sister was saying, Luke no longer got out of bed, barely ate, and refused to leave the house. A few weeks ago he was admitted to the hospital. However, the doctor couldn't find anything wrong with him. A few days ago my father passed from the only explanation we could think of." Annabella took a breath in and spoke with a cracking voice. "A broken heart."

"Our father," Viola interjected. "Often spoke of how he met Michael. How he often was alone until he came in and lit up his life. Made it more fun and interesting. You could see the way they cared about each other for their entire lives. When they were sick or playing around."

"So we're gathering here today to honor Luke Hemmings-Clifford. An intelligent caring man, one who will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and his children." Katy breathed.

"We can only hope that now he can return to the one person he cared about the most in this world. Hoping in another life his heartache is relieved." Vanessa said as the group dispersed so people could walk by the coffin, and see the pale white, blonde and slightly graying haired man. The blue eyes everyone enjoyed looking into so much, permanently closed.

"Hello girls." Ashton greeted as he approaches the Clifford children with Calum. "How are you?"

"We'll live." Annabella have a weak smile, tucking short blonde hairs behind her ears and blinking the tears out of golden eyes.

The four had aged considerably so, but they didn't look bad at all for the ages they had reached. Thankful they were.

The four, married with children of their own, were stunned when Michael died of illness a few months ago, and now to dead in the same funeral home a few months later was shaking them. Who would be next?

"Dammit, I'm going to miss him." Calum said as he ran a hand over his face. "After losing Michael..That was hard enough. But now Luke.."

"Uncle Cal, just try and think of the person you love most and the world, and then going to their funeral." Vanessa said. "Imagine how much that would hurt."

Calum took a deep breath. "I understand you."

Ettie walked over with Gena as the two girls put their arms around the four.
