"You're kidding right?" Renjun physically combusted, a squeaky giggle escaping his pink lips as he curled in on himself, stumbling over his steps with one hand on his boyfriend's elbow for somewhat of support.

"No! I literally put my milkshake down for two seconds to go get the shopping bags from you and when I came back, this seven-year-old or something had his mouth all over the straw with his other hand pulling his shirt up and dancing around-" He was cut off yet again by the adorable laughing from the smaller beside him, his own crescent eyes watching Renjun fondly.

"So what did you do after that?" he asked curiously, after his breaths became normal again, sighing exaggeratedly. He peeked up at Jeno through his hands which were rubbing at his eyes to get rid of any of the tears which had slipped out during his little explosion.

Jeno whined. "I couldn't drink it anymore! When I caught him he just stuck his tongue out at me and ran away," he pouted. "And now I'm sad. Cheer me up baby."

The said male grinned and ran a little ahead of Jeno, ignoring his outstretched arms and jumped to face him from the end of the gap he had created. Without further ado, he parted his legs slightly and put two fists on each side of his head, proceeding to sing the literal song.

"Cheer up baby," he laughed, toppling over himself in the wholesome absurdity of it all.

Jeno couldn't help but watch it with adoration plastered on his face. His older boyfriend was the epitome of adorable and he loved it.

Somebody a few feet away had the same look on his face.

He was propped up against a tree on the pavement, his legs crossed over one another and his arms folded, his back leaning on the large tree. The small giggles could be heard from miles away and the blonde boy couldn't resist it anymore.

So he didn't. He pushed off the tree and walked over to the small boy in a few long strides, the distance between the two becoming shorter by the second.

He grinned, as the other two boys hadn't noticed him yet, and proceeded to stand behind Renjun, wrapping his arms around his small waist and resting his chin on his shoulder, pulling him closer to his chest.

"Hi baby," he murmured, kissing the side of the boy's head.

Since Jeno was infront of the two, he noticed the blonde first, and let out a gasp as his older boyfriend jumped a little at the sudden contact.

"Jaemin?" Jeno exclaimed in shock as he rushed towards the pair.

"Jaemin!" Renjun screamed and spun in his arms, facing the boy who looked down at him with a wide smile.

"My two cuties, I missed you so much," the younger sighed contently as he embraced both of them in his arms, squishing them tightly.

"How was college?" Jeno asked, after they pulled back, a stupid, dopey smile on their faces.

Jaemin rolled his eyes. "Pointless after you both left me. The amount of times I woke up without Injunnies head on my chest or my leg not over Jeno's- it was torture. Absolute torture."

Renjun grinned, leaning up to the younger boy and placing a delicate kiss on his lips. "But you're here now, and we're here for as long as you live," he assured, linking his hands with his partners.

"I thought you were supposed to come back later on in the year? Not that i'm not elated, but what happened?" Jeno queried, his hand coming up to brush a leaf off his boyfriend's shoulder.

"Ah! Yes you remember I told you about how I became a trainee for nct? The debut is coming soon so now they're paying me properly and I guess I have a full time job," he grinned at the pair's shocked faces.

"The one that Donghyuck's debuting with?" Renjun asked.

Jaemin nodded. "The same one."

When Donghyuck had invited Mark to their practice room whilst he was rehearsing the choreography, he simply thought that the boy would stay, watch him, talk to him, and after, they'd go out somewhere or something.

But that clearly wasn't the case.

He really could not focus on dancing with Yuta's hands squishing Mark's cheeks, cooing at him over and over again, and watching the younger boy of the two grin in response.

He tried to shake it off once, and move his attention back onto the choreography, and his breath control.

Then, it happened again. But this time, Mark and Yuta were laying down side by side, propped up on their elbows facing each other (too close together for Donghyuck's liking) and kept laughing about something, resulting in Mark going to rub the latter's arm affectionately.

The music was still playing, but Donghyuck wasn't dancing anymore. He was standing in the middle of the practice room, his eyes steadied on the pair in the corner, with a sadness in them. He didn't know why he felt so upset, maybe it was just that possessiveness he had when it came to friends, but it felt different this time.

So when his eyes locked with Mark's, Mark's twinkling eyes looking into his own upset ones, he looked up to the ceiling, trying to ignore the pricking sensation at his eyes and heaved out a breath. His lip was drawn into his mouth, teeth sinking into it as he turned on his heel.

"You guys can continue practicing, I'll be back soon."

"Hyuck, what happened?" Doyoung called out, worried.

"Nothing Hyung, sorry to disturb the practice."

Donghyuck didn't trust himself to say any more because he felt that if he did, his emotions would take over his voice and would break in front of everyone.

As he walked out of the room, and out of the building, he couldn't help but wonder why this sudden rush of sadness overtook him. He and Mark weren't dating, so why did he have this possessiveness towards him?

But he remembered the smiles on each of the other boys faces in that room, and his eyes started watering.

Was Donghyuck just being stupid and assuming that Mark liked him?

"I'm so fucking stupid," he frowned, digging his face into the palms of his hands.

"You're many things, but I wouldn't call you stupid."

Donghyuck jumped at the sudden presence, wiping at his eyes aggressively before looking up, already aware of who it is and kept darting his eyes around restlessly in hopes for them not to meet the latter's.

"Why did you leave, Hyuckie?" Mark asked, taking a hold of the younger's chin, forcing him to look in his eyes.

"No reason," he blatantly answered, staring back with empty eyes.

"Bullshit. Why are you upset?" he tried again, stroking his cheek lightly, but Donghyuck moved away from the touch.

So he took a hold of Mark's hand and brought it away from his face, and instead held their gaze properly, his own irises locked securely with Mark's.

There was silence for a few moments, until the younger decided to speak up.

"Maybe, just maybe it's because I'm fucking in love with you."
