Days turned into months and the months into a year. The whole year had been a rollercoaster. My life had turned upside down during last vacation. Let's see what this vacation would bring.

We would be giving our last exam tomorrow, thus the end of my first year of Junior college.

Like all other exams this year, we four- Tanya, Nikhil, Riya and I sat together for group study in Tanya's house.

Though I wasn't sure if we would be able to cover even half of the syllabus, seeing we were just excited about what would happen after tomorrow's exam.

Plus it was a known fact that 'when friends gather for group study they do every thing other than studies'. I had literally no hope for this paper as my friends were interested in some other topic rather than the topics in our textbook.

"So you and Samar......", Riya trailed off her sentence with a teasing smile.

"What about me and Samar?" I asked feigning confusion, even though I knew her direction of thoughts.

"Are you a couple yet?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows, finally coming to the main topic of her interest.

I just shook my head at her determination. She never stopped asking the same question. I had to give it to her, she didn't let my ignorance bother her and kept on teasing without getting tired.

"Why not? You know he likes you, he knows you like him, so why don't you two just propose each other?" Nikhil joined Riya.

They always teamed together.

"Talking about my relationship or the lack of it won't make us pass tomorrow's exam. Be quiet and study", I deadpanned.

Nikhil and Riya pouted when they didn't get any answer from me, though they should have already known how was I going to react.

"Seriously guys, let them decide their own pace. They will put label to their relationship whenever they feel it right", Tanya explained to them taking my side.

"Thank you. You are my favourite", I side hugged her.

"Yipeee! I am her favourite", she fist bumped in the air and stuck her tongue out to Nikhil and Riya.

Shaking our heads at her dramatics, we all resumed studying.

For few minutes we did study quietly, but again our attention was diverted to some other topic.

"Alright. Let's go now. I am so tired", Nikhil said, while streching his arms because of tiredness.

"Yeah, tired of gossiping", Tanya remarked and we gave each other a high five.

"Whatever. It's not like I was the only one talking", he said making a bad face at us.

We all packed our bags and left Tanya's house, waving her bye.

After walking a certain distance, we three too parted our ways as our houses were in another direction.

Now that I was alone while walking back to the house, I called Samar.

We talked about a few random things and then he queried about my studies.

"You completed everything on the syllabus or some of it is still left?"

"I didn't even finish half of it, they were more interested in knowing about us", I replied chuckling.

He went silent after hearing me and I started mentally cursing myself. I seriously didn't know when to keep quiet.

"Samar?" I called out hesitantly, hoping I didn't scare him away.

When he talked again, I sighed in relief but after hearing what he said, my head was filled with worry and fear.

"Trisha, meet me tomorrow after exam. I need to talk to you".

"Talk? What talk? You are scaring me. Samar, I didn't mean to pressurize you. I don't care about the labels. I don't need a relationship status to be happy with you", I blabbered in worry, thinking of the worst case scenario.

He let out a small laugh upon hearing me.

"Oh Trisha, what do I do with you? You worry too much. I wanted to talk with you about something for a long time. I just thought it would be better if I tell you after exam as you already take too much tension and I didn't want to divert your mind. I am not angry or even hurt about your friends talk. So stop worrying, and meet me tomorrow", he said, sounding amused.

I was relieved to know he wasn't hurt but got angry on him for scaring me like that.

"Do you know you have the worst timing, you literally scared me. And what did you say? You want to talk to me after exam so as to not divert my mind from studies. Do you really think I will study peacefully now rather than pondering about what is going to happen tomorrow? You are such an idiot", I finished, taking a huge gulp of air, tired of shouting so much.

"No no, don't do that. Please concentrate on studies or I would feel really guilty", he pleaded as if he would fail if I didn't write my paper properly.

Chuckling at his cuteness, I told him to end the call.

I wished to talk more but I had already reached the house.
