"She's so cute" I smiled as Lurie showed me her child

"Yep and her name is Emani" She looked at her daughter

"Hey baby girl" I cooed as I played with her tiny fingers

"I'mma go get my something to drink, you want anything?" Lurie stood up

"No I'm okay, thanks" I smiled and her and she nodded

That's when I heard the door open and I froze when I saw who it was.

"Key'onna?"

"Dex?"

"Whatchu doing holding my baby" He mugged me and took her out my arms

"Greet me?" I mumbled

"Wassup Key, how you been?" He sat across from me

"I've been okay..."

"Something wrong?" He asked

"No, it's just when you sent me that text goodbye 2 years ago, I just lost myself a-

"Look, Key'onna im truly sorry, I was just protecting you" He sighed

"Well, thanks to you trying to protect me I got sent to a mental hospital" I gave him a death glare. "A place you should've been" I mumbled

"Key'onna, I missed you for real" He stood up and digged in my purse to reach for my phone, he unlocked it and put his number in.

"Well..how are you?" I asked

"Im great, my dad been back from jail but he came with some problems" He sighed. "I'm just glad i'm sane" He shrugged

So he did change?

"Thats great that you got the help you needed"

"I mean I kinda just improved on my own, I just recently murdered a dog cause he was in debt but I didn't do nothing yesterday" He smiled

He done got worse.

"Im bac-

Lurie paused when she seen Dex.

"What are you doing here? I didn't say you can get in my house, and stop talking to Key'onna" She stated

"For what?"

"Cause I almost let you ruin me, you will not ruin my co-worker" She mugged him

To late sis. I been here before you.

He let out a evil chuckle. "Me and her already know each other and I already did"

She looked between me and dex. "For real?"

"Yea and now we finna finish where we left off" He said looking directly at me.

"Wow..so ya'll have history together? This was before me and you huh Dex"

"Yea we got mad history of us beating each other's ass but-

"Answer the second question" Lurie demanded

"Yes bruh, me and her knew each other before I knew you existed" He shrugged his shoulders

"So, where ya'll left off?"

"Lurie, bru-

"ANSWER THE QUESTION"

"Nah, I just came to see how my daughter doing, you not finna question me, me and you not even together" He mugged her

"Right" She snickered. "I don't even know why I'm so worried about it, i'll leave you too alone"

Welp, me and her not friends no more.

"Imma call you so we can link up, we still catching up to do" I hugged him

"Nah I'll call you"

"What?" I questioned

"I still have your number saved, so I'll call you" He told me and I nodded before leaving.

I got in my car to go to the spot were we had the candlelight tribute for Ashton at, there were pictures of him as a baby, there were pictures of him on the field, pictures of him and the gang, including Shawn & Rihanna. Everyone in the community showed love and brought all kinds of flowers and candles. I smiled just by looking at everything, me and the gang missed Ashton dearly along with Rihanna even though our friendship took a turn.

I heard a sound of a car lock but I didn't bother to turn around.

"Figured you'd be here" The person said

I turned to my side to see Shawn standing right next to me.

"What do you want Shawn?" I wiped my face and rolled my eyes

"I miss him too Key'onna"

"Why didn't you come to the candlelight tribute?" I asked

"I had a game that day, but I made sure to play my ass off for Ashton since I knew that day would be the day of the tribute."

"Is Kai still suspended?" I asked

"Nah, he gets to play next game" Shawn responded

"Welp" I snifed. "Thanks for the company but imma go home" I looked at him

"Ight, imma stay here for a while but call me Key'onna" He handed me his number again

"I will, for real this time" I fisted bumped him before getting into my car.
