Weeks later

Key'onna

"Thanks momma" I said as she gave me my plate

"You're welcome"

"How are you and the boyfriend?" My dad asked

"We're good so far" I smiled.

"That's great, you better be glad I liked him or ya'll wouldn't even be dating" He side eyed me

I wanted to say "Well he was here before you bitch" But I aint wanna ruin the moment.

"You gonna eat that sissy?" She pointed at my broccoli

"Yes but I can give you some" I put some on her plate

"Thank chu"

"So..what's going on wit you too?" I asked my parents

"Oh nothing much, we want another child though" My momma smiled

I choked on my spit. "Excuse me what?"

"Another chid"

"Mom, dad, Nova isnt even 8 yet, ya'll still have time"

"I'm getting old, to the point where I almost cant even have kids no more"

My dad on the other hand gave her a death glare then turned to me. "Out of everything we put you through, I don't wanna lie to you Key'onna. When your mother was pregnant with Nova she was drinking, using drugs etc"

I looked at my mother in fury. "You're serious? You put Nova in danger!"

"But she's fine!!"

"That's not the fucking point!"

"Mommy, Sissy stop using bad words" Nova cut her eyes at the both of us

"Well, dad's right. Ya'll don't need no more children, mom I forgave you but then you did the same fucked up shit to Nova like yo did with me"

"I-It's just a craving" She broke down in tears. "I wasnt trying to hurt Nova, you know that!"

"I don't know that cause you tried to hurt me, so I don't know your intentions" I stood up. "This was great but imma just go"

"No stay" Nova pulled me back down

"I'll come see you tomorrow" I looked her in the eyes

"Pinky promise?" She held out her pinky

"Pinky promise" I wrapped my pinky around hers

"Bye dad, bye mom" I said

"Bye sweetheart" I heard my dad say but I looked at my mom who was to busy playing with her food and had dried tears on her face.

"Look, I'm sorry mom but don't get pregnant until you can control your addiction" I rubbed her back before leaving.

Today's diner didn't go as planned, I was pissed off. Beyond pissed. But I went in my car and turned the volume up to some music, the only thing that was gonna clam me down.

I got a call from dex which was surprising since we haven't really been talking as much.

"Hello" I answered

"Come over here right now"

"Um okay? Is it something urgent?" I asked

"Stop questioning me and hurry the fuck up"

"Why you been so disant bruh?"

"Dex I don;t know why you're tripping you're not my nigga, I don't have to talk to shit!"

"Oh you for real about that?"

"Yes, you really called me over here over some bull shit! Imma just go"

"Ight you do that then, just wanted to confront you" He scoffed

"Dex you're really making my night even worse"

"Sounds like a personal problem."He walked up to me. "Get out my shit" He opened the door and pushed me out.

I turned around for the door to be shut in my face, I put my hands on my face to feel something wet. I couldn't be crying over this.

I made it to my car and drove home, it was silent, no phone calls no music no radio. I just wanted to think about everything that occured tonight, I kept replaying everything in my head.

I unlocked my house door, I didnt waste time getting out when I parked my car in the driveway, I took of my shoes by the door and went upstairs.

"Hey baby" I walked over by Shawn

"Wassup, how your day been?" He asked

"Stressful" I sighed. "Everything went wrong today"

"Lemme take some stress of you then" He unzipped the back of my dress.
