After Sam and Wanda go to figure some stuff on their own, Steve decides that he needs to find Natasha. It turns out to be easier than he expected and fluff ensures.

Steve hadn't stopped thinking about Natasha since the moment she had let him escape at the airport.

He'd hoped that she was okay and had tried to avoid contacting her to keep her out of danger but once Wanda and Sam has asked to take a week or two to figure things out, Steve knew he had to find her.

Sam was heading to his cousins house to try and get in contact with his parents and Wanda was going to Scotland to meet up with Vision. They'd all decided that they would meet back in Greenland in a week and a half and had gone their separate ways.

Steve had gone straight to a nearby Walmart and bought a new burner phone to see if he could get ahold of Clint. If anyone had an idea of where Natasha was, it was him.

Unfortunately, Clint hadn't heard from her since getting out of the raft. But he did have her burner phone's number and gave a coded version of it to Steve just in case someone was able to tune into their call.

Steve figured out her number and didn't waste a moment before calling her burner.

The phone rang a few times before there was a click on the other side of the line and he heard the voice he had been dreaming of for weeks.

"Hello, who is this?" She asked in Russian.

"It's Steve," He said, unsure how else to answer.

There was a pause, "Steve? How'd you get this number?"

"I contacted Clint. He told me if I needed to call you this was the number to use," Steve explained, suddenly realizing that he didn't have any reason to be looking for her aside from simply missing her.

"Is everything okay?" Natasha asked, sounding uncharacteristically worried.

"Yeah. Everything's fine. I just-" He paused, "I was worried about you and I miss you Nat. The other two broke off this morning to go tie up some loose ends."

There was another long pause that made Steve wonder if he should have even called her in the first place. Maybe this was overstepping his boundaries. If he wasn't careful he could lead Ross and his men right to her.

"Have you ever been to Pic du Midi?" Natasha asked.

"No," Steve said, feeling a slight sense of relief at having some sort of location to go off of.

He could practically hear Natasha's smile, "Oh it's incredible. I'm staying in this farm house in the mountains right now. It's right by Les Basses. You'd love it. There's a little village nearby too. It's got tons of shops and this gorgeous fountain in the center. I'm actually going there tonight for dinner, I'll send you pictures."

Steve smiled, picking up on what she was doing, "I'll have to check it out one day."

Natasha hummed in response, "I hope you do. I've got to go but I'll talk to you soon."

"Okay. Bye Nat."

"Goodbye Steve."

Steve hung up, a wide grin on his face and he instantly looked up the quickest way to get to Pic du Midi. It was about a seven hour trip overall and he hurried to the train station after buying a ticket so that he could be there in time to meet her there for dinner.

The train ride itself was about five and a half hours and once he arrived at the bottom of the mountain range, he would have to take a taxi to the top, where the village was.
