Kabanata 4

"Calm down," I keep on sobbing, shaking my head.

"'Yong...'yong bread ko." I muttered.

"I'll get you a new one, hmm?" Lucian, almost kneeling in front of me, is trying to remove the tears on my cheeks but I keep on shaking my head.

"N-No, ayaw ko..."

"Come on," he whispered, he tried touching my face while I am sniffing to stop my cries.

"How about I cook you food for dinner?" He negotiated.

I saw his soft eyes, magulo ang hair n'ya dahil sa halos sabunutan ko na silang lahat para lang makalma ako sa pag-cry.

Minurder nila ang bread ko! My poor bread!

I pouted, lowered my head and did not answer him.

"And...And breakfast!" He said, touching my cheek, trying to catch my eyes.

"T-Talaga?" I asked him. "You make luto for me tonight and bukas?"

I saw relief on his eyes, he nodded, licking his lower lip.

"Yes," he said. "You like it? Any food you like, akong bahala."

"A-As in all?"

"Yes," he muttered, removing my tears on the cheek.

I bit my lip and slowly nodded.

"Mang-gagantyo 'yan, Cap! Sabi ko sa'yo--"

"Luhod, Sebastian!" He exclaimed, a sharp glare almost killed Sebastian's petty mouth.

They're kneeling on the semento, nakataas ang kamay sa air at nakanguso silang lahat.

"Totoo naman--"

"Another thirty minutes for you," he said sharply, standing to get tissues from the counter.

"C-Cap! H'wag ganoon! Bakit mo kinakampihan, eh, sindikato nga 'yan!" He exclaimed.

Lucian walked towards him, smack his hand.

"Raise it higher!" He growled.

Sumunod si Baste the sungit, he raised his hand higher then I saw him glared at me.

"Yari ka sa'kin," he mouthed.

My eyes swelled again, I glanced at Luci and bit my lip.

"L-Luci, sabi n'ya yari raw ako!" Sumbong ko.

"You!" He makes batok kay Baste. "Reflect!"

"Cap!" Reklamo n'ya.

"Let me remind you again what you did?" Luci said coldly. "It's just fucking bread, Sebastian!"

"Pero Cap, parang bomba nga kasi bilog--"

"That bread is supposed to be my dinner!" I exclaimed at him and he froze.

"Aba, malay ko bang--"

"Shut up, Sebastian." He said sharply. "Reflect on what you did!"

Baste sighed and nodded, tinaas pa lalo ang hands n'ya, masama ang tingin sa akin.

I glanced at Luci and when I saw him not looking at me, I removed the tears on my eyes, grinned at Baste and stucked my tongue out.

"A-Aba't! Cap, oh!" He suddenly pointed me.
