NATHANIEL GASPED as he shot up from his involuntary sleep. He looked around frantically, finding himself now on a bed instead of the bedroom floor. His breathing began to grow heavier and heavier, until a familiar face came into view.

"It's alright," Klaus exclaimed, placing a hand on his thigh. "You're alright."

Nathaniel's heart rate slowed, but speed up when he remembered about last light. Nathaniel looked around, stopping at the foot of the bed. Cami laid across the bedspread, blood covered the front of the woman as well as the fabric beneath her. Tears welled in Nathaniel's eyes as he shuffled across the bed to the blonde's side. He raised his hand, hesitantly reaching out to place it on Cami's cold, pale skin.

"Cam? Cami?"  Nathaniel called out, tears falling down his cheeks. "No. No!" He shook the woman's arm, but only stillness responded. "No! Cami!"

Suddenly, Cami's body rocketed up from the bed. She gasped loudly, reaching up to clutch her blood coated throat. Her eyes were wide in horror, shifting across the room until they landed on the original. "Nate?"

Nathaniel's body continued to shake as he nodded. "I'm here. It's okay. You're okay."

Tears brimmed Cami's eyes when she looked over the original's blood covered body. "No. I -I kill..."

"I'm okay see, up and alive," Nathaniel said with a sniffle, raising his hands to wipe at his face. "I'm fine, okay?"

Cami did not say anything after that. She just sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the wall in front of her. Klaus had left the room during their conversation and returned with a blanket. He placed it around Cami's shoulder, but she did not react in the slightest.

"Tell us what happened," Klaus said gently when he moved to said next to  Nathaniel.

Cami snapped toward the two of them and stated, "Aurora. She made me go after Nate. She did this to me," she stated, beginning to sob openly. "I died. I'm dead."

"But you will not stay dead," Klaus voiced. His anger finally showing. "She will pay for her action. I swear to both of you..."

Before he could say more, Cami doubled over and groaned loudly as she held her stomach. "Ahh! Oh, what's happening to me?"

Nathaniel realized exactly what was happening. He got closer to her to calm her down. "You in transition," he said.

"You need to feed on blood soon, or you will die -this time for good," Klaus stated.

Cami let out a whimper, which prompted Nathaniel to reach out and set a hand on her arm in some form of comfort. But what could one do or say that would make the situation better. Cami was dead, in transition, and if she did not feed in the next twenty-four hours, she would be dead for real. And no one could make that better.

Nathaniel left Cami for a little while, giving both of them time to calm down and to wash the blood from their bodies. He did not want to leave the woman alone, but neither one of them would be very comfortable still covered in a mixture of dry and wet blood. He slipped on a loose t-shirt and jeans, and made his way to the upstairs study. Nathaniel came to a stop just outside of the door when he heard voices inside.

"You just assume I'm going to do it? Feed on human blood?" Cami voiced weakly, although as Nathaniel heard and could tell that she was pissed. "What did I expect? I choose to live here, right along all of you, knowing what you are. What the hell did I think was going to happen? This was only ever gonna end one way," she paused, "I deserve this."
