Hades
Stella held my hand tight, when we left her building. Persephone and Melinoë were arguing. They looked like themselves, too personally involved. Then again, they would recognize me too.
"Hades!" Persephone almost scolded me.
"Persephone," I said. "Melinoë." I nodded at her.
She crossed her arms.
Persephone drew a knife and held it out towards me. "I have to use this on you."
"No," I said. "You don't."
Persephone smiled a sad smile. "Yeah, you don't see clearly."
"You don't see clearly," Hades said. "You're not me."
Stella stepped before me. "I'm just drawing a parallel to my own life." She said.
Persephone rolled her eyes, Melinoë looked interested at Stella. She hadn't really met her.
"My father believes me to be twelve years old, incapable of making my own decisions. It only creates this gulf between us because I'm not about to let him decide what's right or wrong in my life."
"Well, good for you," Persephone said. "Step aside."
Stella crossed her arms and took half a step back, just so she was touching me.
I wanted to wrap my arms around her, but I knew Persephone would see red if I did.
