Lip and Rose had gone to the small tent where Winters and Nixon where sat to tell them about Hoobler as no one could find Dike "... the bullet cut the main artery in his leg sir" Lip finished and he looked back at Rose to make sure he had the right information, Rose nodded as Nixon told the two "you did everything you could, you cut that main artery in the leg that's it" Lip and Rose where about to leave when Winters asked "where's Dike?" Rose rolled her eyes and hoped none of the men there saw Lip turned back around and asked "you want to see him sir?" Rose knew he was answering a question with a question because no one knew where that man was "no i just would have expected to get this news from him" Rose saw Lip began to slightly panic and stutter over his words "well i was... i was there sir, figured it might as well be me" Rose yet again rolled her eyes as she knew Lip was trying to protect the lieutenant Winters nodded and then Lip left the tent "Rose" Rose stopped and told Lip to go back without her and she would catch up with him and she turned back into the tent and looked towards Winters "where's Dike?" he asked again Rose licked her dry lips and looked from Nixon to Winters "you want the truth?" Winters nodded and then glanced at Nixon who gave a knowing look in return "don't know" Both men looked at the women "no one knows" Winters nodded and Rose turned on her heels and began to jog slightly to catch up with Lip who wasn't that far ahead of her.

Later that day Dike had finally showed up and the officers were crowded around him listening to his orders, Rose stood in between Buck and Lip as they all listened to the man that Rose did not like "... batalion 3 are planning a move so i will probably be called away... regularly, are there any questions?" Rose smiled to herself as she thought 'i have a question, why are you do stupid?' Buck looked at the other officers before asking "what formation do want us to go for?" Rose looked towards Dike and she could almost see the panic shoot through his eyes as he came up with an answer "well, at present as per usual but i will clarify that with you on a later time lieutenant Compton" Dike then let out a large yawn "right i gotta make a call" with that he walked off Rose let out a sigh as Buck ordered "let's move it out"
