It was a new day and Crawford had already texted Ava saying he will pick her up at 5pm. He had the date all planned out and had the help of Corey and Franny to set it up.

"Did you think of this all by yourself, Crawford?" Franny asked him as she helped hang some fairy lights at the location of the date.

"Yeah, why?" He asked, chuckling lightly. She shrugged and smirked.

"It's just cute, that's all. She's gonna love it" The girl smiled, knowing her ex best friend well enough to know she will like this kind of effort Crawford is putting in to winning her back.

"Shut up" he blushed, laughing lightly as he continued to set up the date.

"Why do you seem so nervous man, it's just Ava" Corey told him.

"Even though it's 'just Ava', it doesn't change anything. If anything it just makes me panic more about things...like whether she'll even like all of this or not" Crawford explained.

"We all know she feels the same about you, bro, she's even told you herself. It's just gonna take time" Corey advised him, in hope of trying to prevent him from stressing any more.

Corey and Franny were probably one of the closest with Ava when she dated Crawford because Corey is Crawford's best friend and Franny was a part of the group when Ava first met them all two years ago. They have always felt guilty about the way they treated her after the break up, but they're just hoping that in time all can be forgotten about and they can all move on. But until then, they all had to be patient.

After a while, they had finished setting up and they all stood back to look at what they created. Crawford smiled to himself, knowing it was better than he imagined it to be. Corey and franny smirked at each other, proud of themselves and knowing Ava would love it.

"Okay. Imma go pick her up, you guys mind staying to keep an eye on it all until we get back?" Crawford asked them, smiling ever so slightly.

"Yeah bro, go for it" Corey nodded, Franny nodding also.

"Thanks, I'll text you both once we've parked and are heading over so you can leave" he told them, grabbing his car keys. They said their goodbyes and Crawford headed over to his car and on his way to go pick Ava up.

She had just finished getting ready and was waiting for him to knock on the apartment door. She had no idea what he had planned for them, but was excited either way. She was feeling a little better today but still didn't feel 100% as these kind of things take a while to snap out of mentally.

"You look cute" Tara smirked at her as she emerged from her bedroom.

"Shut up" Ava laughed softly, blushing slightly.

"Do you know what he's got planned for you?" She smirked, wiggling her eyebrows up and down jokingly.

"No" Ava laughed but shrugged anyways.

"You gotta fill me in on EVERYTHING after the date" Tara Warned her, making Ava nod.

"Of course"

And just like that, someone knocked on the door three times. Tara squealed and clapped her hands together, shoving Ava towards the door in excitement.

Ava tried to hold her laughs as she opened the door to reveal Crawford stood there, smiling.

"Hey" she smiled at him widely.

"Hey...you look amazing" he breathed out, smiling at how beautiful she looked.

"Doesn't she?" Tara agreed, smirking behind her roommate. Ava playfully turned around and glared at the girl before turning back to Crawford who laughed a little.
