My eyes were glued to the screen. I was figuring out a battle plan. Run to the left, crawl, climb building then shoot any enemies. My avatar followed suit. I shot four enemies before I had to duck for cover.
"...Why don't you ever listen to me John!?" my mother screamed,
"And back to reality," I sighed, taking my eyes from the screen. Once I came out of my 'gaming world', I couldn't get back in. It was too hard to focus with my parents yelling at eachother,
"Maybe you should get out of the house..." my father screamed back. I groaned and swiped my smartphone off the desk and called my friend, Ethan. It rang a few times before going to voicemail. I left a message.
"Hey, Ethan. It's Gwen," I started, "I'm spending the rest of the day down in the car park at the mall - 2nd floor - call me if you can't make it. See ya'" I hung up. I groaned and shoved some money into a backpack along with some food in case I didn't want to come home, I tucked my Nintendo DS in too. I slipped on a pale pink exercise shirt with cyndaquil in a banner down the side, and tied a black hoodie around my waist. And I was wondering why I barely had any friends. I put earphones in my phone and tucked them into my short pocket. By now I had zoned out all the yelling, but is was coming back to me.
"Get out of my house John!" Mum yelled, "You lying b - " she stopped when she saw me. I must have looked like I was going for a while because she lowered her voice - like she always did when she talked to me - and she took a breath.
"Where are you going, sweetie?" she asked. It was like everything else had frozen in time.
"Away from both of you. Maybe you should stop being self-centered freaks and act like normal parents, so leave me alone - I'll be back at 7," I said, "And by the way, Mum. I think John paid for more than half the house, so don't go say 'my' house," I added and walked out the door, slamming it behind me for good measure. I didn't realise how cool it was outside though. I hated outside. Because everytime I came out, my parents were fighting. That's why I all went to the car park, 2nd floor. It didn't feel like I was outside, it made me feel like a hobo to be honest but it was better than being trapped with two apes as parents.

It was almost dark when I reached the car park, at least the shops were still open - thankyou 'late night Friday shopping'. I shoved my ear buds and turned the volume up on my phone. Nothing like a little bit of Fall Out Boy and Black Sabbath. I got my DS out and started playing some Pokemon, specifically - Pearl. I normally hated being here on Friday nights. Too many shady characters walked by, and I was in a corner so I was virtually trapped. At least if Ethan came he would look after me. He's a year older than me, but we get along well. I don't think my parents would mind - they don't even know I have a friend. That's why I couldn't wait until I was 16. I could move out and go somewhere far away. I was smart enough to be in Grade 9 already, two years ahead of my time, so I think I'd make it out in the real world. Something was really bugging me by then. A lady had been standing on her phone, leaning against her Mercedes. She had sunglasses on and I could see her bright red lipstick from here. She looked quite beautiful, she was tall in hear red heels, her skin was pale and she wore her hair in a high ponytail - she looked like a model. I couldn't hear what she was saying - Black Sabbath was on.
"Hurry up Ethan," I muttered to myself. I normally didn't feel nervous around here, but I normally didn't come over here on a Friday night. The lady who was near her car stormed off in anger. I saw something on the ground where she was - a brand new iPhone 6. She must have dropped it! Part of me wanted to give it back, but I could sell this and get a lot of money. I shoved my DS and phone into my bag and slung it over my shoulder, then started walking to the phone. I was less than a meter away when she thought she saw something move. I knew it was too good to be true. But my hand darted out and snatched it, but something wrapped around my wrist - pulling me against the car. I let out a frustrated groan. Stupid!
"Greedy children - always trying to get what they can't have," the lady I saw earlier said in a French accent. Her brown hair looked silky, and her pale skin looked cold - almost vampire looking.
"What do you want?" I said through gritted teeth. Don't be scared. I was thinking that a thousand times over. But my heart rate was already increasing
"I want you to play a game with me," she produced a black cloth, "But you have to be blind folded,"
"Get away from me," I yelled, hoping that someone would hear me. She ripped off her sunglasses and her red eyes bored into mine - definitely a vampire.
"We're going for a drive," she smirked, and wrapped the blindfold around my eyes. I struggled once I was free from the car but she lifted me easily and threw me into the car. I screamed and she shoved cloth into my mouth, I was scared I was going to die. I forced myself to calm down. I heard a muffled sound next to me. I concentrated on removing my hand from the rope, then took off the blindfold and got the cloth out of my mouth. I couldn't see out, I was in a van. But I swear that chic had a Mercedes. I saw the girl in front of me. Her blue and pruple hair made her look like an anime character - her pearl skin complemented the fact. She had a gag that she couldn't get off. I undid her wrists then suddenly the brakes were slammed on, I heard a door open and close.
"Do you have any idea where we are?" I asked quickly,
The girl shook her head.
"Who are the people?"
She shook her head again. The door slid open.  I noticed the chains on the sides of the van.
She looked to someone out of view, "Just tie them up," she ordered and flicked her long silky brown hair and disappeared.

Before I knew it - I was blindfolded again, my hands were tied to the chains and I was on my back on the floor. I was shivering.
"You okay?" the girl beside me spoke for the first time,
"Does it look like it?" I growled at her, then took a deep breath, "Sorry,"
"It's alright, I mean, it's not like we practice this daily, right?"
"Yeah," I mumbled, "What's your name?"
"Olympia," she said, "Yours?"
"I'm Gwen,"
We just lay in silence for a moment.
"Are you scared?" I asked,
"A little,"
"I am," I admitted, "Do you think we'll be fine?"
"Sure," she said cheerily,
We went back to silence. We stopped and the engine turned off.
"Just be brave," Olympia said to me, "Then they won't hurt you because you'll be too tough,"
"I wish I was brave," I muttered. I heard the door slide open and someone untied me and led me out,
"Walk!" he ordered. I fell to the ground after tripping over a rock. "Idiot!" he undid the blindfold and pushed me, holding me my my arm. We were walking towards a large warehouse. It looked like an old factory. It had computers and techno thing spraypainted on the walls - but they were a little faded. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad here. I took a quick look around. This was a small street between a ton of warehouses - it was very eerie. The darkness was closing in. Checking my watch I saw that it was 6:30pm. Surely someone would notice I was missing. Ethan!! He would get the police and they would rescue me. We went inside the building. I didn't see much after that - blindfolded again. I stumbled around and after a few turns and opening and closing of doors, I felt a prick in my neck. I felt dizzy. I swayed for a moment before dropping to the ground. I heard a strangled cry - probably Olympia - and then the darkness consumed me.
