Julia was 11 when she, her parents and older sister Elena were in a car accident and went over Wickery Bridge. She doesn't remember anything after that other than someone pulling her out the water, the pain, the hospital and the news that her parents didn't make it. Her older brother Jeremy walked in the room after the nurse said she was able to have visitors, she remembers the look of relief on his face when he saw his baby sister was okay. Elena breaks up with her boyfriend Matt, tries to put on a front and pretend that everything is okay. Jeremy starts using drugs and hanging out with Vicki Donovan, Matt's older sister. Julia starts cutting a few weeks after the accident. It was the only way she knew to deal with the pain. People told her the grief would pass but its been a year and it still hurts. What will happen when the new school year starts and everything starts changing?
