Y'all...one of my friends found this book and I'm honestly about to die.

So shout out to @imdonewithlife101 (she hasn't used her account for ages so)

Anyways my funeral will be held at 3:00am on Monday morning. Here will be a kahoot game about my entire life and whoever wins gets everything in my will by default. Good luck with that and enjoy the chapter.

Also, I'm starting another oneshot book for Avengers fluff and angst including Spider-Man and the first chapter is already posted. A special shoutout to @TheAuthorAgain for allowing me to use some aspects of their story and allowing me to make it my own. You're the best!! So go check out the new book and the book that it was inspired off of!!

Peppers heels clicked against the glossy tile of the MJK company building, she had just gotten out of a meeting with the CEO of the company, Ms. Jennifer Harper, and was headed back to her hotel for a nap and some food.

"Excuse me!" Someone called from behind her.

She turned on the spot and smiled. "Yes?"

She was met with a very young woman with mousy brown hair and a frail frame. Her clothes were basic yet fashionable. Pepper could tell she was an assistant.

The young woman held out an envelope in her hand. "Ms. Harper wanted me to give this to you before you left."

Pepper took the envelope and thanked the assistant kindly. She remembered when that was all she was long ago. She knew how difficult it was being pushed around and ordered to complete even the most simple tasks for their bosses. Not everyone fell in love with theirs and ended up CEO of their company.

Pepper sighed and opened the letter.

Ms. Pepper Potts,

I have reviewed the offers you have presented and concluded that these will be extremely beneficial to our program. It is my pleasure to inform you that we will be expecting your generous offer and look forward to speaking with you again.

On this note, feel free to return to your family for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Kind Regards,

Jennifer Harper

Pepper's eyes widened as she re-read the note. They accepted. She wasn't expecting the deal to be easy and she was prepared for several long and tiring meetings but this meant that she could go home soon.

Her face broke into a smile and a new spring entered her step as she made her way back to her hotel. This time, to pack.

Maybe she'd be able to surprise Tony and even meet the new intern he hired. All she knew was that he was still in high school and really sweet and smart.

Tony wanted her to meet him and see for herself instead of describing him over the phone. So that's what she was going to do. She was going home.

Tony woke up from his all-day hibernation at around 5:00 am the next morning. The lights were still turned down low and all the windows in the penthouse were shaded. His head pounded against the back of his forehead and he sat up slowly rubbing his temples in an attempt to tame the raging headache.

He turned to see Peter still sleeping on the couch beside him. It was too dark to make out any details so he groaned and continued massaging his head.
