Dedicated to @EJCBooks for being my Wattpad buddy!! It's great that we have the same interests because it makes reading over your shoulder much more intersting!

‘And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.’-Roald Dahl

By the end of the day I’d learnt that Penny and I had pretty much the same interests. The most prominent being Disney and books.

“What I don’t understand Ashley is why Elsa is a Disney Princess when she is a queen!”

“I know what you mean Penny, she was formerly a princess but she isn’t now. Even Aurora shouldn’t really be considered a princess because she is a queen too but not as prominently and it is only inferred at the end of the movie. By the way I have officially found a nickname for you!”

“What is it?”

“Penaynay!” I exclaim. She squealed excitedly.

“I love it!” we walk out of school laughing as we dodge the crowds at the doors. Waving good bye to my new found friend I walk back home.

One thing you should know about me is that my parents are very rich. However they are not the kind of parents that try to get their children to be exactly like they want and how they should act because of their social standing and relative wealth to everyone else. My parents love me very dearly but unfortunately they don’t spend much time at home as their jobs take them away from home. I don’t really mind, it’s not their fault it’s like that and they trust me to be sensible at home so I basically have the whole house to myself most of the time. I walked up to my room. My room was fairly plain, the walls were a pastel blue and I had a desk in one corner. One entire wall was covered in a floor to ceiling book shelf and my bed was queen sized. There were also more books piled on my bedside table. I had a walk in wardrobe and I did have a fairly large bedroom but, like the rest of my house, none of the wealth went to my head. It was situated  at the front of the house so I had a big window on one wall so I had a big chair in front of it for when I decided to read in it, that way I could look out onto the calm street. The chair was also nicknamed my thinking chair.

Deciding my homework could wait I got changed and took a trip to the pool. Being the introvert I was I took with me my latest book and my phone in case anyone needed to call me. I swam a few laps and just swam around aimlessly for about half an hour before drying my hands and taking out my book. I don’t know how long I was reading for but at some point my phone rang. Looking at the caller ID I noticed that it was my mum.

“Hey mum,” I started.

“Hey sweetie, I hope I’m not bothering you but I just remembered that the people over the road just moved in and I was wondering if you could do me a favour and make them some cookies or something to make them feel welcome?”

“Of course mum and your not bothering me at all. Thanks for telling me.”

“No worries but I have to go now. Your father and I will be home in about a week and a half.”

“OK. Thanks mum, see you soon.”

“See you, Ashley,” she finished and then hung up. Getting out of the pool I went back inside to bake the cookies. While I was preparing them I wondered who had moved in. they obviously had more than a little money as this end of town was mostly large houses with massive gardens. My house was the largest and the closest thing to a mansion. I laughed a little to myself because my mother knew everything about everyone. So of course she knew when the new people were moving in.
