Lorenzo's POV

"It was Ignazzio Ricci."

My brothers and I left the basement after brutally removing every nail on his fingers and toes. He passed out too soon. There's no fun in torturing if they are unconscious. So my men were ordered to cut off his fingers one by one when he woke up until he passed out again. Then his eyeballs, tongue, dick, and lastly slit his throat until he bled to death, just like our mother bled to death when he cut her throat. I had a doctor appointed just for the guy to live long enough until his proper end. If he died before the slitting throat part, the doctor was to be used to complete the ritual.

My brothers and I would have loved to watch it all, but right now, we had more important things to do. We got what we needed from him. Name of the man who gave them the orders. Ignazzio Ricci.

Dante gave me a handkerchief to wipe the blood off my hands.

We all went back to my study quietly.

Once in there, Matteo locked the door behind him and sat on the large sofa along with Romeo. Marco was leaning against the bookshelf. And Dante was standing by my side as usual.

"I cannot believe it was Ricci," Romeo said, massaging his forehead.

"What if he's lying?" Marco questioned.

"He knows he's going to die either way. He won't be that stupid." Dante reasoned.

"If that's true, I cannot wait to get that bastard Ricci" Romeo seethed.

"We will make a move tonight, we have 12 hours to plan," I said determinedly.

"I will hack into their systems, locate them, and get as much information as I can about him and his gang," Matteo said, stepping into our conversation.

I nodded at him.

"Gather our men and weapons," I said looking toward Romeo and Marco.

"Dante and I will plan the attack as soon as we map out our enemies."

All of them nodded and went on their ways.

2 hours later, Dante brought the blueprints of the warehouse where Ricci was hiding out at the moment.

"They know or at least expect that we are going to attack considering the surveillance and the increased number of men surrounding the warehouse", said Matteo.

"Someone must have tipped them off about the news of his 3 minions being caught by us. Words surely get around fast in this city," Dante concluded.

In 5 hours, we planned an elaborate mission to wipe out Ricci and his men. All of us geared up with bulletproof vests, guns, and knives under our suits. I gave all my brothers microphones and earpieces to help us be in contact with each other.

"We'll strike at midnight. Matteo, you will remain in the SUV along with two men to give us directions and warnings through the mission with the help of the surveillance you've hacked. Listen and follow Matteo." They all nodded.

"If something goes wrong, inform others through your microphones. We'll resort to plan B. Kill every man but one; under no circumstance kill Ignazzio. We need him alive. He would not die an easy death. Don't forget he is a lead to finding Ava. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Capo!" I heard them all say simultaneously as I straightened my suit. And with that, we all headed out into our cars.

Dante was riding with me in my black Audi R8 as I drove toward the warehouse. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed him incessantly tapping his fingers on his knee.

"Nervous?" I asked him.

"A lot more than that. I'm thrilled, scared, hopeful, and angry too."

"What are you scared about?"

"If she's alive or-"

I turned to look at him and saw a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his forehead even as the AC continued to lower the temperature inside the vehicle.

"After all these years, what are the odds?"

"If she is alive, we will hunt down every corner of this planet to find her and if not, we will burn this world to hell."

"Get it together, Dante, it's time for the inferno."

We surrounded the warehouse with our cars from all sides. Everyone took their positions as planned. Snipers were ready on the roofs, waiting for my orders and 50 of my men covered every possible exit while my brothers and I prepared to carry out the mission.

I saw some of Ricci's men patrolling the area, and some of them stood fixed at their posts. There was at least one guy every 3 meters. We stayed still while keeping my eyes on the watch tied to my left wrist.

And then it was midnight. I motioned for my men to cautiously enter the perimeter as the snipers silently started taking out men that were easy and alone from a distance.

Marco was swift and deadly, like a ninja in action. Romeo started eliminating men from the west entrance and Dante from the east. Matteo gave us directions so that we could enter the warehouse easily, without alarming any of the men inside. Within 10 mins, I was informed that all the men outside the warehouse were finished off. Some of my men remained outside just in case one of them slipped past us.

I glanced to my right and saw Romeo engaged in a fist fight with two men. He had his left arm tight around one guy's neck while punching the other with his right. But I knew two men weren't nearly enough to disarm Romeo. He was a beast when it came to fighting. I moved further inside the place, slicing off the throats of the men on my way in. One of them managed to knock the knife off my hand as I collared him. I banged my head into his nose, making him stumble backward. I picked up the fallen knife and stabbed it right into his heart. How did I know where his beating organ was? Well, practice. I looked up from the bloody mess to see Dante nodding at me. I smirked back, showing off my biology skills to the guy who fucking taught me that trick. Four men attacked us while we were distracted. As they started to pull the trigger, I threw my knife, hitting one of them badly enough that he let go of the gun while kicking the other, making his gun land six feet away. I saw one of them holding Dante at gunpoint while he was busy fighting off another guy. So, I stabbed my knife into the man's eye that I was fighting, pulled out my gun, and blew the brains of the guy pointing a gun toward my brother.

Shit! The bang would definitely alert Ricci.

Dante looked at me wide-eyed, which I just shrugged off. With that, we went back to fighting, only this time we deliberately used our guns.

"Fuck it!" I heard Romeo curse and saw him grab his AK-47 and rain bullets on the men coming his way. I exchanged glances with Dante and Marco, who laughed at Romeo's temper tantrum. And just like that, we could easily get to the core of the warehouse with Romeo firing 500 to 600 rounds per minute.

Bodies dropped dead at our feet as we made our way in like the royals of the underworld, with our heads held high and our auras pitch black.
