Lorenzo's POV

The journey to America was silent but all of us were tensed. No one spoke a word to others. Ava's thoughts had consumed our minds. Our private plane landed in New York and our cars were ready to take us to our place in Manhattan.

Apart from me and Dante, none of my siblings were aware of the fact that we already had a place in Manhattan. It was not some normal property my family had invested into. It was my father's home while he was in college. Our parents, Rosaline and Vincent, met here in America. They fell in love with each other in college and got married. I didn't know the details, but Mrs. Bianchi had mentioned long time ago, that there was an incident during the time of my birth which forced father to return to Italy for security reasons. She never mentioned it again.

The penthouse was a little smaller than our place in Sicily. As soon as we entered, we were reminded of our parents because of their huge photo frame in the living room. The whole décor looked like it was all our mother's taste, just like back at home.
I looked at my younger brothers, they all looked sad by the reminder of our dead parents.
Marco had his arm around Matteo's shoulder. Romeo had anger and sadness in his eyes. Dante nodded at him, letting him know that we all felt the same.
"Why?" Matteo asked.

"Why did that bastard Hunt kill her?"

"He is right. Hunt seemed to have some strong reason. There is more to the story. Why else would someone go lengths to kill the wife of Italian Mafia's Capo?" Dante said.

"He didn't stop at that. He also took our Sorellina." Romeo gritted his teeth.
I nodded.

"Matteo, you got all the info on his enemies?" I asked him.

"Yes, Capo." He showed us the pendrive.

"Let's go to the study, then."

Once we were in the study, Matteo sat with his laptop and opened the file having all the information we needed.
Dante started naming each one of them and their reason for being Hunt's enemy. Most of them were people who were betrayed by him, others were people who were jealous of his power and some had business rivalry.

"Rutherford Steels. He was one of Hunt's men. Hunt framed him for some murders and now he's in jail." Dante went on.

"We have no use of a guy in jail. Next." I said.

"There's just too many Capo. This feels like waste of time." Romeo commented.

Hmm. True.

"Matteo dig deeper into Hunt's history."

He typed quickly on his laptop while we waited patiently.
"Here's one thing. Hunt became the Don 16 years ago. But not through lineage. His family was not involved in mafia."

"That means he took over the mafia boss at that time." Marco pointed out.

"The only way you can take over a mafia boss and still be alive for 16 years, is only if-" Dante said thoughtfully.

"He killed the ex-don." I concluded.

"Matteo, I want to know all about the ex-don." Matteo started hacking into all kinds of databases.

"Capo, his name was Thomas King. He and his family were killed in an accident 16 years ago."

"Tell me more."

"His wife's name was Amelia King. They had 2 sons, Ryan and Arlo, and 2 daughters, Vanessa and Veronica. They are said to be dead too."

"Is there anyone close to that family alive? A relative or family friend?" Dante asked. Matteo typed further.

"There is no relative. But there is a family friend. In fact, Thomas's best friend, Matthew West. He was the CEO of West Corporations."

"Was?" I enquired.

He was searching further about that man when he said, "Oddio!" (oh god!)

He looked at us. "You all won't believe this."

"What?" Romeo asked, being impatient as always.

"West Corporation was renamed to Kings Corporation, when Ryan King took over as the CEO."

"Ryan King, as in Thomas King's eldest son?" Romeo asked.

"But you said the children were dead." Marco looked as confused as others.

"Matteo, dig further into Ryan King." He followed the orders.

"There is no proof linking this Ryan King to Thomas's son."

"If it is the same Ryan, someone has gone lengths to hide his past." Marco, pointed out.

"Capo, if his children are still alive, we have found Hunt's biggest enemy." Dante concluded.

"Just like us, Hunt ruined their family. They would want revenge. We can join hands and get that bastard!"

"The only person alive to confirm this is Matthew West." I said.

"Let's go confirm our doubts."

It was not difficult to find his address, thanks to our hacking expert, Matteo.
He lived on a huge estate just outside the city. Matteo and Marco stayed back for more research while I took Romeo and Dante along with me.

"Some Italian business men are here to see you, sir. They are insisting that they have some very important business with you." We heard West's bodyguard say through his ear piece.

"As you say sir." He replied and let us through.

We were taken to his study.
"Mr. DeLuca, please welcome."

Matthew West looked like a man in his mid-fifties. I moved towards him and extended my arm for him to shake.
"Lorenzo DeLuca, and these are my brothers Dante and Romeo."

"The Mafia Brothers! For what do I owe this honor to have Italian Mafia at my place!" He shook our hands.

We looked at each other a little surprised.
"You are aware of who we are?" Romeo asked.

"Yes, of course. Who doesn't know the Deadly Mafia Brothers?! What I don't understand is how come you wanted to see a retired businessman?"

"We are here to talk about Thomas King." Dante disclosed.

Matthew stiffened, his expressions changed. "He has been dead for a long time. Why do you wanna know about him?"

"We wanna know about his children. Especially, Ryan King. The current CEO of you company."

"I don't understand what you are talking about. Thomas's family was killed in an accident 16 years ago. It has nothing to do with this Ryan."

I noticed he was sweating and he wasn't looking at us.

He's lying.

I offered him my handkerchief.
Romeo moved closer threateningly but Dante stopped him.
"Mr. West, we are not here to harm you or the Kings. In fact we are here to offer a deal." I explained.

"What kind of deal?"

"A deal that will help us achieve a goal we have in common," said Dante. Romeo smiled at West evilly.

"Vengeance."
