Chapter 37

Ava's POV

Damn! That was close! 

I let out a sigh of relief once I was back in my own room.
I turned towards the twins with a stern look.
"You both! Why did you give my diary to them?" I asked them folding my hands. 

"Well, you won't tell us anything. But there had to be someway to find the truth." Veronica replied. 

I closed my eyes and sighed deeply.
"Look guys, I'm really tired. Tired of going through all the shit for past many years. And now when I'm finally free, I just need to let go. I wanna leave the past behind and move on in my life. I wanna be happy. And trust me, there is nothing 'happy' in that diary. Now, can we please just drop this?" 

"Wewillbutyourbrotherswont..." Vanessa said something under her breath, I couldn't hear a single word. 

"Sorry?" I asked them in confusion. 

Veronica elbowed her sister and gave her a stern look, before answering me, " Nothing, haha... " 

"Yeah, I was just.. Haha.. Nothing." Vanessa said looking away from me.
I gave them a suspicious look.

We heard a knock at the door which kept me from asking them any further questions.
Marco and Matteo stood there waiting for us to let them in.
I nodded at them.
Theirs went on the girls and just remained on them for few moments.
I cleared my throat loudly.
I quickly turned away looking embarrassed but so were the girls. 

These ships are sooo gonna sail....

"Avy, fratello has decided to have a family dinner tonight. After so long, our family is finally complete. So get ready." Marco informed us. 

"The Kings are invited as well. Wear something beautiful and meet us downstairs at 8." Matteo winked at and then they left.
I turned towards the girls who were looking excited as hell.

"But we have absolutely nothing to wear over here!" They both complained. 

"You three beauties have absolutely nothing to worry about." A male voice made us turn around. 

Two handsome guys, absolutely gay, were looking at us with a bright smile.
I immediately felt positive vibes from them. All the craziness from today disappeared and something fun and exciting replaced it.
The girls giggled and introduced themselves.
After they were done, I extended my arm towards them as well.
"Hi, I'm Ava DeLuca." 

Instead of shaking my hand, they took me totally by surprise by hugging me.
"This is Ron and I am Melvin." Melvin said. 

"And you are absolutely beautiful." Ron looked extremely enthusiastic. 

"But sorry girls I must say, you three have godly handsome brothers!"
We all laughed. 

That is true. May it be the Kings or the DeLucas, all of them look like Greek Gods. 

"Now here are your dresses. So let's get started, shall we?"

2 hours later, all the three of us were ready.
The twins were looking beautiful as always.
Veronica was wearing a black sweetheart neckline dress while Vanessa wore a similar royal blue colour one.
Mine was pink cowl neck ruched trumpet dress.
We thanked Ron and Melvin before heading downstairs. 

As we reached the top of the stairs, I saw the men looking dashing as ever. I spotted Ryan who had his back towards me, he was talking to Enzo and Dante. Marco, Matteo were talking to Arlo while Romeo was having a deep conversation with Stefen. 

Oh so he is fine now. That's a good.

As soon as I took my first step downwards, the click of my heels on the floor made Ryan turn around partially.
I saw his eyes first land at my feet and then slowly move upwards and then finally meet my eyes.
His lips parted slightly, the look on his face was of absolute star-struck.
I felt butterflies in my stomach. 

Gosh! What's happening to me? Why I am feeling so happy inside looking at his stunned expression?
Why can't I look away from him? 

Just when I thought he couldn't look any hotter, I saw him turn towards me fully, his hands went into his either pockets and he licked his lips.
I gulped, which seemed to gave noticed, because his expression turned into a devilish smirk.
I blushed and looked away.
My eyes went on my twin brothers who had a similar expression on their faces.
I turned to look at the girls who had stopped midway and were busy ogling at my brothers.
I chuckled and cleared my throat.
"I am seeing what's happening here..." I teased them as we were heading towards the men. 

"Oh really, and you think we can't feel the sexual tension between you and Ryan?" They smirked back.
I rolled my eyes at them and went towards Enzo.

"You look like an angel, Sorellina." He said kissing my forehead. 

"And you look like an handsome devil, fratello." I gave him a big smile.
"That I am."

We headed outside. There were three black cars. A Rolls Royce Cullinan, an Aston Martin Rapide and a matte black Bugatti Chiron. 

Oof, these cars! 

Marco and Matteo extended their arms towards Veronica and Vanessa.
They both looked at Ryan questioningly and he nodded at them in approval.
They took took the Aston Martin.
I turned to look at my brothers but there was no one there. The three of them along with Arlo and Stefen were already seated in the SUV.
I saw Romeo had already started their car.

Traitors!

"Shall we?"
I looked away from them to see Ryan offering his hand.
I was so surprised and nervous.
But somewhere in my heart I wanted to be with him.
So I smiled and placed my hand in his. 

That electrifying sensation, again! 

That car, Bugatti Chiron, was a beauty.
Ryan opened the door of the passenger side for me to settle in.
Once I was seated he closed the door and went around to take his place in the driver's seat.
I looked at him nervously.
He exhaled loudly before looking at me.
He just stared at me for few seconds and then began leaning towards me.
My heart started racing like crazy.
When his face was like inches apart from me, he stopped and whispered in my ear.
"Buckle up, love."  He reached across to grab the seat belt and then clicked it in before leaning away, giving some space to breathe again.
I kept staring at him as I was trying to gather myself.
He smirked looking straight ahead as he started the car.

Just when I thought this day couldn't go any crazier..
