Lorenzo's POV

There he was, standing behind his men like scared puppy.
"Ignazzio Ricci! Long time no see!" I chuckled at him.

"What are you muttheads looking at? Shoot them!" He yelled at his men. But their eyes were focused on Romeo, who was smiling at them as if he dared them to pull the trigger.
I walked slowly towards Ricci.

"You see, they are scared. Just like you are about to piss in your pants."

Marco threw two knives right through the hearts of two of the men, and Romeo finished off the others, just when Matteo joined us.
Marco and Romeo stepped towards Ricci before he could try to run, disarmed him, and held him in place.

"You do know what we are here for, right?" I raised my eyebrows at him questioningly.

"N-No, I have n-no idea. I-I haven't done anything!" He stuttered.

"Matteo, do you mind reminding him of his doings?"

"Not at all, Capo." Matteo replied while pulling out a knife from one of the dead men and walking slowly towards Ricci.
Matteo pointed the knife at his left eye, leaving only centimetres between the tip of the knife and his eyeball.

"N-No, wait! I know! I know you are here to a-avenge your m-mothers death."

"Right. Now tell me why. Why did you kill our mother?"

"I-I.."

"Answer me, you fucking idiot!" My voice boomed which made him jump.

"He fucking pissed his pants." Romeo laughed out loud.

"I don't think he is capable of such a well-planned assassination," said Dante.

"Y-Yes, I did not plan t-this."

"Then who did?" I growled.

"H-Hunt"

"Who is Hunt?"

"T-The Don of the American Mafia." He said.
All the boys looked at each other with shocked expressions on their faces.

The American mafia was involved in this? This seems way bigger than we thought.

"What did you do to our Ava?" Dante asked impatiently.

"Ava, w-who?" He looked at us, perplexed.

"The five-year-old girl that your men kidnapped." Romeo seethed.
He looked as if he had realized something.

"I will tell you if you promise to let me walk out of here alive," he said with hope in his eyes.
The brothers looked at me, waiting for my decision.

"We will let you walk out of this warehouse alive only if you tell us everything." In a threatening tone, I said. He looked at me, unsure.

"It's my word, Ricci" I assured him.
Everyone knows, the Capo never backs out on his word.

"I made a deal with Christopher Hunt 13 years ago. He wanted your mother dead and I wanted money and drugs so that I could improve my business here. The plan was to kill your mother only. But things went south when my men heard your mother and that little girl come into the room they had just used to enter the mansion from the back. I asked them to bring the child to me, so that I could blackmail your family into more money. Hunt personally came here to enquire my men about your mother's murder. But when he got to know about the girl, he was ready to pay me triple the amount he was giving earlier, just for the girl. I just couldn't let that opportunity slip."

"You sold our sister to the Don in America?!" Romeo lost his cool and and started punching his face mercilessly. Even Dante, who was the most controlled amongst us, lost his cool. He pushed Romeo off Ricci, gripped his throat and lifted him up. Ricci started struggling for breathes.

"S-she's al-alive!" Ricci managed to speak.
Dante dropped him as soon as he heard those words.

"WHAT?!" All of us screamed in shock.

"Your little sister, your Sorellina, Ava. She is alive. Hunt has her. She is in New York, America." He said gasping for air.

My heart was beating out of my chest at this point. All of us looked at each other, with dead silence in the room. Romeo and Marco's grip on Ricci loosened. Taking advantage of our shock, he ran out of the room.
For 1 long minute, nobody said anything.

"We need to get him" Romeo said blankly.

"No need. He won't be alive to take two steps out of the warehouse." I said in a calm voice.
And the next minute we heard several gunshots fired. All my brothers remembered about the men I had placed outside to shoot anyone who got past us.

"Let's go home."

The ride home was silent. We reached our mansion. Mrs. Bianchi was waiting for us in the living hall. She rushed towards us as soon we entered the front door and started throwing million questions at us.
None of dared to answer. We were still in shock. She narrowed her eyes at our silence.

"What's wrong? Why are you all so quiet? Tell me. You are worrying me."
She turned to me, "Enzo, what's wrong? What happened there?"

No answer.

"Will somebody please tell me what's going on before I pass out of high blood pressure?!"

"Ava is alive."
