Chapter 17

At the top of the stairs we see .... Nothing. Amazingly enough. Everything was still in place and nothing was broken. Hmmm. That makes me wonder all the more about what happened here. Did they have to leave quickly? Were they attacked? I have no idea, and the less I know about the situation, the more scared I get. Not just scared, terrified. Really terrified.

We walk down the hall. All rooms we pass are untouched and neat. We arrive at the room at the end of the hallway, Elijah's room. Its one big mess. The bed is broken and the wardrobe is turned upside down. What did he ir she want? They had to get something from Elijah, that's for sure. But what? I need to know. I walk out of the room and the girls follow me. I go down the stairs and walk outside. Nobody. Now I know for sure, this is no good. I breathe in through my nose and I smell an odor. The smell seems familiar to me, but I can't put it. Violets and caramel .... I decide to ignore it and walk on. I decide to go to the edge of the territory. I faintly smell the scent of Elijah and follow the scent. Suddenly I hear Sanne let out a short scream. And then silence. I run into the nearest house and enter a random room. It is a large room with a large window and a bed. There is a sofa in front of the bed. "I know you're here girl!" That voice. He seems familiar to me. Hmmm. The name is on the tip of my tongue. The footsteps go out. I relax a little. A few minutes later I still don't hear anything. Then I realize it. I run to the window but it is too late. It's already in the room. He has short, black hair and ice-blue eyes. It's ... "Good girl," he says, pressing a cloth to my mouth. Slowly everything turns black.

P.o.v Elijah

I'm sitting at my desk signing some document. I'm bored to death. I'd much rather be with Amy, but she's gone with Sanne and Arianne. Suddenly the door is thrown open. I look up. It's Amy, what is she doing here? "There are wolves on our territory Elijah," she says. I nod. "Okay, I'm going to see what's going on. You're going to hide." She nods and goes to get Sanne and Arianne. I pick up John and Adam and tell them there are wolves at the border. Then walk out with them in my wake.
(For those who don't know what I mean by that, John and Adam follow Elijah) I  see that the men have turned into their wolf and are defending the edge of our pack. I also change into my wolf and John and Adam do the same. I run to the border to help the other wolves in my pack. I run to a Rogue (let's just call the wolves for now) who wanted to kill one of my pack members and bite his neck. Then I fight the next Rogues in my path.

A while later, all Rogues have died or fled. I look around and see that 3 of my pack members are injured and (fortunately) there are no deaths. A few wolves come in human form and they give us clothes so that we can transform again. The women come out to congratulate us on our victory. I send a few wolves into the forest to see if they are really gone when I see that another wolf is looking at us.

Moments later, all pack members went home to celebrate the victory. I calmly walk back to the pack house to get Amy and the other girls. Suddenly I see a group of more than two hundred people walking silently to the houses. I see 5 go to the pack house. I run after them and tackle one. He bumps his head and is knockout. I grab the heads of the next two and press them roughly together. "Then get John and Adam in there man! You can't fight anf protect Amy at once!" It's my wolf Jack. I mind link John and Adam. "We're coming Alpha!" Answer Adam. I see the men walking into the house. I run into the house and close the door softly. The men have heard the sound  anyway and immediately turn around. I take one and push it on the living room table. Krak. Oops, it's in two. The man moans in pain. The second man runs towards me and I punch him in the stomach. He falls to the ground of the force of the blow. The door flies open and John and Adam storm in. "They kidnapped the pack," gasps John. Adam nods in agreement. "Okay wa-" a man came through the door with a stone in his hand. He hits the stone hard on John's head, which immediately drops. Then he puts a needle in Adam's arm that makes him fall to the floor. I run to the kitchen. The man follows me and also comes to the kitchen. I throw the coffee maker at him. He moans and puts it out of my reach. He approaches and I try to kick him. He steps aside and tries to grab my leg. I quickly withdraw my leg and throw the door of a kitchen cupboard in his face. He growls and slams the door shut again. I throw the man to the ground and he starts kicking around, which is pointless against my attack. I kick his stomach with my heel and he gasps. Suddenly he grins at something behind me. I turn around and see Alpha Ash. A cloth is pressed against my mouth and everything slowly turns black. As long as Amy is safe, the last thing I think before everything goes black.
