Stress- Kailor

It's nine thirty when Skylor arrives back at the monastery. Skylor sinks into the living room sofa, kicking off her shoes and closing her eyes.

I can finally rest

Skylor's phone buzzes.

"Oh come on," Skylor picks up the phone.

"We've ran out of ramen."

Skylor groans and puts her head in her hands. Her phone buzzes again.

"I can't take the night shift"

"What time does it start?"

"9:45"

"Are you kidding me?!" Skylor throws her phone at the wall, breaking it.

"Sky? What's wrong babe?" Kai asks, standing in the safety of the doorway.

"Hey Kai. Nothings wrong, I'm fine," Skylor lays down on the sofa.

Kai rolls his eyes. "I know you're lying Sky."

"I-I'm fine," Skylor blinks rapidly.

Kai walks over and sits down next to Skylor. He lifts her head up and places it on his lap. He runs a hand through her hair.

"Sky, please tell me what's wrong. I want to help you."

In one swift movement, Skylor sits up and buries her head into Kai's chest. Kai rubs her back as she starts crying.

"Shh, it's okay baby."

Kai pulls Skylor onto his lap. 

"What's wrong baby? Why did you throw your phone?" 

"I-I need to go back!" Skylor tries to stand up.

"Shh, no you don't, its okay," Kai tightens his grip on his squirming girlfriend. 

"T-they need me! They're out of ramen and Debbie can't make her shift," Skylor continues to fight Kai. (Debbie is the first name that came to mind).

"Breathe Sky. Breathe in..." 

Skylor rests her head on Kai's chest, taking a shaky breath in.

"...and out," Skylor exhales shakily. 

Skylor repeats the process until she has calmed down. 

"Feeling better baby?" 

"A-a little," Skylor replies. 

"How about we watch some sappy romance movies?" 

"Sure. Can we cuddle?" 

Kai lays down on the sofa and pulls Skylor on top of him. Skylor rests her head on his chest. 

They watch movies for the rest of the night.
