The current score wasn't too far off from what it was the first round, I was counting on to set a wider gap between the two of us but Aoba Johsai always seems to take a leap every time we take a couple steps. The ball sailed into the air after Michimiya had served it over the net, #2 Yua had steadily received it and played it off to #4 Naomi.

They performed their decoy strategy and the middle blocker #5 swung her arm down hard onto the ball and fortunately Chizuru and Ami were there in time to stop the ball from bursting through. Aoba Johsai's Libero #8 attempted to save the ball, but it was already too late. Karasuno was leading 19-17.

The game continued on and Ainu who displayed the jersey #1 attacked and Chizuru and Ami both bolted to block the Captain. The ball pressed against Ami's hand and she was confident they blocked the ball, too much of her dismay the ball kept pushing against her hand and Ainu gave her an inimical look.

The ball was stuck between the two as they jousted over where the ball was heading. The hall turned loud as the different teams cheered on their respective team members. Iwaizumi and Oikawa straightened their backs as they watched the war rage between the two teams, not making a single peep. The girls gritted their teeth as they both pushed with everything they had.

Ainu gave one last push on the ball and Ami's wrist bent backwards, she lost her control on the ball and it slowly fell to the ground. I took a lunge for it but it was already too late and it jumped off the polished wood. Lifting myself off the ground I murmured "What a loon... Don't worry Ami-"

My eyes expanded as I stared down at our setter who was now holding her arm with a suffering expression on her face "Ami-Senpai!" I called as I hasted up to her.

Ainu and her Seijoh girls seemed wholly unruffled by what had just happened. The captain looked down at the Karasuno girls who had circled the injured setter. He eyes were bored and somewhat irritated, a slight smirk pulled on her face as she began towards her position. Now that their official setter is out of the way...

"Time out!" I called over to the Referee, and he blew his whistle doing just that, Ami's face turned pale and Yui quickly crouched down in front of her. Ami was holding her arm close to her body and her breathing became shallow and pained "What happened Ami?" Yui asked but the third year didn't answer in return.

"It's swollen-" Mao observed the setters hand, and we all quickly looked. It looked already almost twice the size it was before. Ami couldn't help but feel dissatisfaction. She held tears back and stared down at her feet.

"Rinko, please take her to the infirmary... Manami you will have to step up as setter and finish this game" Yui looked over to the first year who held a serious expression on her face. "Gomen..." Ami apologized, and I tilted my head "Don't worry about it anymore, just worry about getting better" I requested and she nodded as she got up and Rinko lead her to the infirmary.

I narrowed my gaze as my eyebrows knitted together and I peered over to Ainu who had a slight grin left on her face. My fist shook in fury at the knowledge of her purposefully hurting my dear upperclassmen.

You Tyrannical Queen...

"Hey, we're going to be starting soon. Let's shake it off okay?" Manami placed her hand on my shoulder and I kept my gaze on Ainu for a few more moments before I nodded "Yeah.."

"You got this Manami!"

"Just like when we practice!"

Manami let out an uneasy laugh as everyone applauded her on "I haven't actually gotten to play a real match yet, have I?" A slight grin pulled at my lips as I gave her a smack on the back "Don't be panicking now" I encouraged her as she regained her balance from the impact.
