A week had passed, and Yellow was heading home once again on the Leavetty express. She knew that Blue would be back to the Sevii Islands, and Green would be back to his gym in Viridian City. And Red, oh Red, he would be heading back to Mount Silver, his current residence.

Leavetty might have been running back home, but it was shooting Yellow a sideways look that could only be translated into one that said, "You humans have weird relationships." Yellow knew because her pokemon always shot her that look when they said that.

Leavetty smiled to as if to affirm Yellow's thoughts. Wait a second. It knew her thoughts?

Leavetty somehow managed to nod, give a cheeky smile, and run at a million miles an hour at the same time. Yellow could only do one thing at the moment, however—blush furiously. Had Leavetty picked up on her thoughts about Red too?

A slight nod indicated that this too had happened. Yellow went, if possible, even redder.

When they got home, Yellow let her pokemon out, and they fell into the usual lifestyle of peaceful days. That is, until the devastating news came.

~A few weeks later~

"The renowned Oak family has fallen great debt, following an accidental burning of professor Oak's laboratory in Pallet Town, and the subsequently injured professor. Paying for the restoration and replacement of the laboratory and the laboratory equipment respectively has taken over seven million pokedollars, and the medical bills of the professor himself have been expensive, approximately forty five thousand pokedollars because of severe burns, chemical inhalation and other injuries. The professor's granddaughter and grandson both earn enough money to support themselves as a technician's helper and gym leader respectively, but even they are falling on hard times. Stay tuned for more news..."

Yellow hit the power off button on the TV remote. Poor Green, he really is suffering.

On that, Yellow decided to go visit Green at the gym. Though her own finances weren't much more than meagre at the moment, it would be better if she tried to at least help, right? After all, this news would probably be broadcasted all over Kanto, but only Kanto—Blue or any other dexholders wouldn't hear of it, unless Green told them(not likely). As for Red, he would only come if he had the sense to actually pay attention to the news on television(even more unlikely, for his hovel on Mt. Silver didn't have a television) or actually came and had a visit.

"Leavetty, guys, come on! We're paying a visit to Green's."

Her pokemon hurried over, and amidst cries of 'oh dear, did you see what happened?' and 'gosh, poor Green.' and 'it was sensible Green, too.' she set off. Sometimes, it was nice knowing what her pokemon were saying. Didn't help with Leavetty, though.

Upon arrival at the Viridian City Gym, she knocked on the doors. Before Green answered, she exchanged a short conversation with Leavetty.

"I haven't thought about it before. What's your gender? Sorry for bringing it up now."

Leavetty used its tail to make the 'female' sign.

"Oh, thank you."

On this note, the door opened.

"Who's…oh. Hello, Yellow."

Green pushed the door wider to let Yellow in. Yellow stepped inside, and once Green had closed the door, Yellow asked him, "are things okay around here?"

Green smiled somewhat bitterly. "You saw what it was like on the news, didn't you?"

"Yes…I genuinely feel sorry for you."

"Don't be. Makes me feel like a wimp. Would you like a walk around town? I think that'd cheer me up."

Yellow obliged. Soon, they were walking aimlessly through the quiet town like city, chatting amicably. Actually, it was more like Yellow chatting amicably, while Green listened. Green didn't mind Yellow's company, for she wasn't as infuriating as Blue, but as usual Green wasn't quite inclined to conversation.

"Green, is there anything I can do to help?"

Just as Green was about to answer, Yellow was pulled forcibly into a nearby alley. Green ran to see what was wrong.

A man was holding a knife to Yellow's neck, with the said girl whimpering. Green cursed. If anything happened to Yellow, Green knew that Red both Red and Blue would be extremely mad. At him.

"Oh dear, it's the gym leader. Not much money on you, I can bet. Now drop your pokemon and give me your money."

Green didn't obey. Instead, his fingers closed around rhyperior's pokeball. However, he found it bound in sticky thread, produced by a spinarak behind the man. And after he looked at all his pokeballs and Yellow's, he could be sure they were all stuck shut, rendering them completely useless.

Gritting his teeth, he obeyed the man and got out his wallet. Surprisingly, before he could get his money out, a masterball flew at him from nowhere. That, too, was shut firmly from the sticky thread, but when he pushed the little button that was barely seen under the thread, a blast of fire melted the thread (and nearly his fingers) almost instantly. He knew this wasn't his pokeball(he definitely didn't have a masterball on hand, especially not one with a pokemon inside) and it wasn't the man's(the man looked surprised) so it must've been Yellow's.

As predicted, it was Yellow's. In fact, Yellow looked more than relieved(and a little shocked, too) when Leavetty appeared, looking a little different(and a lot bigger) than usual.

In fact, Yellow looked flabbergasted, while Green raised an eyebrow. This form of Leavetty was a little bit overwhelming.

Leavetty had transformed into a big, if not huge, dragon. She roared at the man, her face contorted into a frightening snarl. The man shrieked and ran away. The dragon then licked Yellow's face with her now longer tongue. Yellow giggled.

Leavetty freed their pokeballs from the sticky thread with an impressive flamethrower. She then knelt as both Green and Yellow hopped on. Jumping into the air, Green and Yellow finally got an idea of how big the Leavetty now was.

Leavetty looked to be approximately 25 feet(about 8 metres) long, and the wingspan was nothing short of impressive, in fact Green could guess it was about 19 feet(about 6 metres). How it actually had fit in that alley the Kantonians had no idea.

Leavetty touched down in front of the Viridian City Gym, and shrunk back into her normal size. Green and Yellow decided to part ways here, bidding each other a brief farewell.

Before the gym leader could head into his turf, Leavetty sensed a movement in the air. When Green was gone, she leaned down and sniffed the wet spot on the pavement. When Yellow questioned her about it, the Leavetty could only answer, gesturing, 'his tear'.

Yellow stared back at the gym doors sadly. How she wished she could help him, being the only one who knew him like this at the moment. Turning around, she headed home.
