Chapter 35

Yvan

Jao's been sick for four days straight. For all that days, I have encountered the longest four days of my life that felt like forever. Sa loob ng apat na araw na iyon ay hindi ako makalapit ng matagal kay Jao. I took care of him with all my heart of course but I can't cling with him. I really expect something like cuddling with him until he gets better but he just won't allow me to do that.

"You'll get sick too!"

"Stop with your cheesy stance, that's not time for that."

"Stay away, ayokong magkasakit ka."

"This is half your fault, listen to me."

I sighed. I didn't expected him to be sick after having our first. I guess I was too hard and rough or he's just kind of...weak to handle it. Whatever, I'll be careful next time.

I am currently lying at one of the guest rooms of my house. Dito ako natutulog nitong nagdaang mga araw. Honestly, I am so down right now. Pakiramdam ko tuloy galit sa'kin ang boyfriend ko dahil mukhang ayaw talaga ako nitong pansinin at ginagamit niya lang na may sakit siya. Crap! I am overreacting. Am I too clingy already?

Napabuga ako ng malalim na hininga. I closed my eyes but immediately interrupted by my phone. Napatingin ako sa gilid at inabot ang phone ko. I looked at the caller ID and when I saw Shyn's name, I answered the call.

"Hello?" walang gana kong sagot.

"I have the name." Awtomatikong sumeryoso ang mukha ko dahil sa narinig. Bumangon ako at umupo sa gilid ng kama.

"It took you so long. I gave you two days," sabi ko kay Shyn.

"I apologize, Sir. Someone's stopping me to do a move," paliwanag ni Shyn.

"Tss. How much did you found out?"

"Everything necessary. And I believe that it should be done tomorrow at the board meeting. Ang main agenda bukas ay ang tanggalin ka sa posisyon." Hindi ako nagulat sa sinabi ni Shyn. I know this will happen.

"Will the suspect be there?"

"One hundred percent."

"Prepare everything for tomorrow."

"Copy."

I hanged up and tossed my phone at the side. I still have time for tomorrow and I guess I don't need to worry anything. I am confident that everything will go according to my plan.

I was so caught with my thoughts that I didn't noticed someone entered the room. Napansin ko lang ito nang marinig ko itong tawagin ako.

"Yvan." I jerked my head at the back and saw Jao who's at the door, looking at me. I stared at his wholeness. Suot niya ang isa sa long sleeves polo ko na mas malaki sa kanya. Pinarisan niya lang ito ng boxers niya na natatakpan ng damit nito. I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling at the sight of him. He looks damn sexy with my shirt.

"Bakit ka bumangon? May kailangan ka ba?" I asked. Jao shook his head and walked towards me. Pinagmasdan ko lang ito hanggang sa umupo ito sa tabi ko. His head's down and he looks uneasy which immediately concerns me. "My love, are you okay?" nag-aalala kong tanong.

"I'm sorry." Natahimik ako sa sinabi nito at naguluhan.

"Huh? Bakit?"

"I've been so harsh to you these past few days. B-Baka nagagalit ka na sa'kin—why are you smiling?!" I chuckled when Jao's expression went from apologetic puppy to mad wolf. He's so cute that I can't help myself from smiling. Umusog ako palapit sa kanya at niyakap ito. He was surprised by my action but I immediately felt him hugging me back.
