"Morty, Cas, be sure to pee before we go. This adventures gonna be a long haul, and I don't feel like emptying the jug." Rick began, though lost interest as he stood next to Cas, who was watching Jerry put up Christmas lights. He was failing at trying to toss one of the lights over the satellite dish, making Cas chuckle quietly a few times. She had offered him help many times but Jerry refused, claiming he didn't need her or Rick to use their expertise to help with simple Christmas lights. "Jerry, will you please just let me automate this fucking task?"

"Already tried that, darlin'," Cas shrugged, looking up at him.

Cas always seemed to be in a good mood during the Holiday season. It was one of the few seasons her uncle and her truly enjoyed together. She always dressed in her usual green colors with hints of red hair for the occasion. She wore green and red plaid skirt with her black tights and black leather jacket over her black shirt. It was her second Christmas with the Smith family and Cas was ready to knock this one out of the park just like the last one, just less human theme parks involved. It also held a special place in her heart now because it was now a year since her and Rick first kissed, even though it was just a peck.

"I didn't ask for anyone's help. You three are welcome to leave," Jerry said with confidence.

"Mom told me she wanted me to stay here to make sure you didn't die," Morty replied, glancing up at his father who had an unamused face at that.

"So, why's Cas here then?"

"Because if you fell without Rick seeing, I wanted to be the one to hold it over his head that I watched you fall on your face instead of him." Cas shrugged and Jerry's face fell at that, "Oh! Shit, and moral support or whatever. I forgot I'm supposed to be supportive now," Cas mumbled the last sentence. After a brief moment of anger towards Rick being lasher out at Jerry earlier, Beth was quick to remind her that she wasn't tolerating that anymore. Beth knew Cas never truly had any grudges against Jerry and it was misguided anger along with the effects of Rick's personality she had kept.

"Well, you tell your mother that I'm going to be fine. And you will get no such satisfaction from me," Jerry snapped slightly, looking at the Cas for the last part.

"That's what she said," Cas mumbled under her breath. "Wait, that's what Beth said!" Cas gasped, earning fist bump and a snort from Rick.

"Yeah, and don't train your child to lie about your safety, Jerry, even though, you know, 'tis the season." Rick shrugged, putting his arm around Cas as they stood there. Jerry glared at the dysfunctional couple.
