Cassandra nodded, giving him an encouraging smile. "I was kinda hoping for you to do that."
Taehyung's glance wandered ahead to the sea. "I know and I'm sorry for making you wait so long," he slowly began then, licking over his dry lips. "First the book, our book. I had actually found it days before our encounter. I had been looking for some books I could use in a project and I.. stumbled over it. It had surprised me that no one had picked it up yet. It seemed to be a great one after all, hiding many secrets about the universe. But then I thought that maybe the fact that it wasn't known by people was what made it more special. Not everyone would appreciate it after all." He paused, seeing her staring at the ground while carefully listening to him. "I couldn't buy it that day, though. I didn't have enough money with me. So I had decided to put something inside it, in case someone happened to find it after all. They would see it and realise it was already someone else's.. However, a few days later, I went again to the book store to finally buy it. And I saw you, standing in front of the shelf with this specific book in your hands." He couldn't help but smile at the memory.

Cassandra started playing with the hem of her shirt dress, pursing her lips at his narration. Her cheeks blushing. "I.. I didn't see it. The thing you had hid inside," she admitted embarrassed. "But now I feel bad. I didn't know you had discovered that book before me. And I literally snatched it from you."
"Don't feel bad. You couldn't know. And I was acting weird to you," he assured her, "But you got it, along with my hidden songs in it. They are just random thoughts I express there. Sometimes they're good and I can use them for music classes. But sometimes they're not. So I didn't want anybody to find them. I didn't think anybody would relate to them anyway. That's why I acted so desperate about the book. I needed to get them back." He laughed under his breath. "Now that I think about it.. maybe hiding them in a book in a public book store wasn't the best idea after all."
"Maybe it wasn't," she said with a smile, "But I'm extremely glad you made the wrong decision." Her words made him smile as well. "I don't regret it either. You found the songs, didn't you? And you found me."

Cassandra eyes widened in panic by his words. So he knew that she knew about his songs? She had been caught after all? But how?  She started hyperventilating.
Taehyung noticed her stressed expression, quickly shaking his head. "No, it's okay. Don't worry."
"I.. I'm sorry. I know I invaded your privacy there. You obviously didn't want anyone to see. But I was just so curious an-"
He cut her off by putting a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. Really," he tried to calm her down. She glanced at him, seeing an empathetic look on his eyes. "I.. kinda wanted you to find them," he said then, shyly looking away. He let go of her shoulder again. "That's why I left the book at your place after our first astronomy talk."
She furrowed her brows, astonished. "You wanted me to find them?"
He simply nodded. Avoiding her glance. "First I was scared about you discovering them. But the fact you had shown interest in that book somehow made.. something inside me want you to find them. I thought if you enjoyed this book and art and films, like me, then maybe you'd enjoy my songs as well."
"I never read them though. I knew they were private, so I didn't want to snoop around."
"Well, you did read one," he smirked. "And you wrote me a song, too." He felt her tense up and for a moment he was scared he might have been wrong. "Didn't you?"
The girl dragged a sigh. Tucking another curl that got blown away from the breeze behind her ear. "I did. But I didn't want you to find out about it. In fact, all this time I thought I put your original note back and kept mine. Seems I was wrong, though." She let out an awkward giggle.
"Why didn't you want me to find it?"
"Because when I wrote it I was having mixed feelings about you. It was during the time you were ignoring me. So I certainly didn't know how you felt about me," she shrugged.
Taehyung swallowed, a stern look on his eyes as he observed the wind creating little waves on the lake. For a moment, he was silent and simply deliberating. "You know by now that it was because I liked you."
"Yeah, I know. You said so before trying to drown me," she laughed, causing him to let out a chuckle as well. "I didn't try to drown you."
"I know. You're just a dramatic person."
He scoffed. "I'm not dramatic."
"You kinda are.."
