Dancing in the rain

(Before you start to read, i recommend you listen to some songs like "someone to you" by BANNERS, or something that is super cute. It'll help make your day/night.)

I sat on my bed as music was blasting from my speaker. It was probably annoying for my neighbors to hear me play music loudly for the 10th time this week. But who cares? My boyfriend, Jermey, just told me he won't be able to make it tonight for my birthday. How am i supposed to just be okay with that.

As the music continued to play and i almost started to fall asleep, there was thunder outside. "Are you serious?" i said to myself annoyed that not only is Jeremy not coming but it would be raining really heard tonight. Don't get me wrong, i love the sound of music and rain as i go to sleep. But today was not one of those days.

*thump*

I looked over at my window where i saw not one but 5 pebbles being thrown at it. I thought it was those dumb kids that would mess with me so i walked over to the window and opened it letting rain in my room. "Look, tonight's not a good time, kids!" i yelled sticking my head out into the pouring rain. My head instantly got wet making it a bit harder to see who was throwing rocks at my window.

"Nope. No kids...just your loving boyfriend who's here to see you!" I heard Jermey yell. I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Jermey in the hoodie i got him, jeans, and rain-boots. A smile was plastered on his face as i let out a scream and smiled down at him. "Come down, silly! I want to hug you!" he laughed. His laugh rang through my ears and i immediately ran down outside to him.

Once i finished putting on my rain clothes, i ran over to Jeremy and tackled him to the ground. "You're here!" i yelled hugging him tight and wrapping my arms around his neck as my legs were around his waist. I placed my head on his shoulder and smelled him. He smelt so nice and warm.

"Yeah! I wouldn't miss this day for the world." he said wrapping his arms around me as we laid in the grass while rain continued to rain on us. "I missed you." he softly said in my neck. I smiled as his words melted my heart. He got up still holding onto me as i was still wrapped around his body. "Do you want your present now? Or later?" he asked now looking me in my eyes. His smile still on his face as he pecked my lips.

I laughed and got down. "Uh...i don't know." i said. I mean all i really wanted for my birthday was Jermey and he's here. But on the other hand...gifts. "I'll take my gift please." i sang in a british voice putting one hand out in front of him and the other behind my back. I smiled when he laughed and kissed my cheek.

"Alright. Close your eyes." he said. I looked at him questioning what he was gonna do. "Come on. Please?" he pouted making a puppy face. I sighed and closed my eyes. I heard him clap his hands and shuffle somewhere far away. When i heard movement coming back i immediately opened my eyes and gasped at what i saw. "You weren't supposed to open your eyes yet!" he whined see my shocked expression.

"Jeremy..." i let out. He was on one knee holding out a little cowboy hat. "What are you doing?" i asked as fear rang through the words. I didn't mean to sound scared but i didn't expect this.

"Look...i love you with all of my heart Y/N. And i never want to lose you to some..richer..more famous..talented guy. I just want you." he smiled looking up at me as the rain softened. His eyes were sparkling in the rain and i couldn't help but fall in love all over again. "So will you- -" he started to ask opening the cowboy hat slightly revealing a nice ring.

"Yes! Yes!" i yelled rushing to my knees in front of him and smiling. I grabbed the ring not caring what it looked like. I just wanted to be with him forever.

"I didn't get to say the question." he sighed as i pecked his lips. I quickly stopped and gestured for him to say it still smiling from excitement. "Will you be the Yee to my Ha?" he smiled at me. I could see how happy he was as he looked me in my eyes. I couldn't help but laugh at his play on words. "You liked it?" he laughed as i continued to laugh and laid my head on his chest.

"Yes. Very much." i said slowly ending my laugher and looking up to him. As we sat in front of each other, we both heard my music still playing from my open window as (insert song here) played. "Wanna dance?" i smiled up at him.

"Do you even know me?" he asked sounding offended. "Of course i want to dance in the rain!" he yelled picking me up with him and spinning me around. I laughed out loud as he set me down and we just danced in the rain to multiple songs on my speaker. Some where slow songs, but most were songs we both loved to dance too.

To say this was the best birthday would be an understatement. It was above and beyond now that i'll be ape pit with the man of my dreams.
