Sigh. What's gotten into Jiwon? We don't even hang out. We just talk in some of our classes and nothing more.
Everyone's drunk and passed out right now, while I still couldn't sleep. Usually, when I drank alcohol I would be the first one to be knocked out on my bed but right now's different and I have no idea why.
I stood up and went to get some fresh air,maybe it can calm me down a bit. I think it's safe to sit outside since this is a private property. I carefully went outside the room and got a water bottle from the fridge before I sat on the front porch.
It's nice and quiet out here. Just the sound of crickets and other insects in the forest. A while later, my phone vibrated. I guess the signal's a bit alright now.
"Jin?" I picked up the call
'Jagi, I've been trying to call you for a while now. Is everything alright there?'
"yeah, the signal's a bit shit here since we're in a private property but like...in the middle of the woods" I chuckled "Did I make you worry?"
'mmhmm,I'm surprised you're still awake at this time'
"I couldn't really sleep in an unfamiliar place" I replied "How's it going there? How's our baby?"
'Our...baby?....Oh Y-you mean Kirby'
"Yes Jin, our Kirby" I giggled "How are you both doing?"
'We're good. Kinda missing you right now...No not kinda but really missing you right now'
"Don't worry I'll be back tomorrow afternoon and I can finally show you the pictures I took" I replied "Thank you again...For the camera"
'You said that for like the nth time already ever since I bought you that camera' he chuckled on the other line 'How's your day, Junghee? Did you have fun?'
"Yeah I had so much fun today. Good thing my friends are here too, it made this club activity so much better. I met new people and this place is really nice, it's quiet. We should go here sometimes with the boys or just...us. Kirby would love it here"
I waited for like a minute for a reply from him, but I never heard a voice on the other line. Maybe it disconnected? I looked at my phone and realized the call was still going.
"Uhm Jin?" I called "Jinnie?"
Soon the call dropped. I sighed as the signal went down, I'm sure he's doing alright. I'm just gonna tell him everything when I get back tomorrow.
I squinted as my nose crinkled from the faint stench of smoke. Where is this from? Is there a wild fire somewhere? should I call for help? I lifted my chin to figure out where the smoke was coming from and realized it was from somewhere beside the cabin.

I walked slowly over to the side of the cabin and saw Mr. Yoon, leaning on the wall and smoking. I hear a quiet sob and sniffling coming from him. Is he...Crying? Yeah I think he is.
"Mr. Yoon?"
He jumped as he jerked his head towards my direction and immediately wiped his cheeks. "goddamnit Junghee, you scared me"
I chuckled, almost laughing out loud. "I'm sorry Mr. Yoon. Why are you out here?"
"Why are YOU out here. You should be sleeping now" He replied as he stepped on his cigarette and took a sip from his beer. I coughed a bit as the stench of smoke filled my nose. Jeez, cigarettes smell so bad.
"Oh sorry. You hate cigarettes don't you?" he apologized as I nodded.
"Mr. Yoon...Are you alright?" I asked "not to be nosy or anything..."
"Yeah, just a little sad. Thanks for asking" He chuckled "It's been a while since anyone asked me about how I am or how I'm doing. It's just always about work, money, debts and shit like that"
"It's not fun being an adult, well atleast for me" He added "Cherish your years as a college student, kid and have fun while you still can"
"But, Sir Yoon. You should go have some fun too" I paused "It's not like having a little fun would negatively affect your life"
he looked at me and chuckled "it's easier said than done"
"When's the last time you had fun?" I asked him as I sat on a rock and hugged my knees.
He paused, like he was really thinking hard. "I don't know either"
"You're lame" I laughed at him
"You're mean" he replied "I forgot how to have some fun ever since I started working"
"Have you thought about what you really REALLY wanna do?" I asked as I picked up a pebble and threw it. "like paint, having a day off,spend time sitting on the balcony and having a cup of coffee on a rainy day or like do yoga or stuff"
"Yoga?" He laughed "I don't know, but I'm thinking about what I wanna do now that you mentioned it"
"I'm glad" I said "Don't think of everything too much or you'll get wrinkles Mr. Yoon. Have fun. As I said, there's nothing wrong with having a little fun" I said as I stood up and stretched.
"Well,I'll be going inside now" I added "Have a good night Mr. Yoon and stop worrying too much, old man" I said as I walked away.
I hear him chuckle "thanks,kiddo" "and I'm only 26"
