Is She Lying?

Rainbow Dash's Point Of View-

I laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I felt like such a creep because... Well, because, I couldn't stop thinking about her.

After Trixie and I went our separate ways, I continued to look around the mall. I went to the pet store and to Subway... Even the book store. And I remembered everything. I remembered every moment I spent there with my friends and with Fluttershy.

And now it's one in the morning and I'm lying awake, thinking about nothing but her.

I turned towards the window and cuddled against one of my pillows. My heart started racing when I began to think of her more.

Her soft pink hair that fell gracefully on her shoulders, her fair pale skin that I knew was soft just by the first glance... Her full lips that I know I've kissed before but still have me yearning for more of her. Her small, soft hands that I knew fit perfectly in my bigger, rougher hands. And her eyes, oh god her eyes. They were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. They reminded me of an ocean. Not only because of the stunning teal color, but because of the sea of emotions that laid behind them.

Fuck. This is so much more than a crush... I love her. I want her and only her. She's so kind and generous. She's honest and beautiful. She's everything I've ever wanted. And If I'm being completely honest with myself, I could see a future with her. Even after high school, I could see us living together.

I could see us going to college together. I could see us moving in together, going on dates... I could even see myself having kids with her. Even if we had to adopted.

I teared up at the thought of how beautiful she would look in a long, white, and lacy wedding dress. I started smiling when I realized something.

She's the one. She is the one.

Before I knew it, I was in a dreamless sleep after so much time of thinking of her.

Fluttershy's Point Of View-

I blinked my eyes a few times before waking up. I slowly stretched and looked around. I looked out the window and saw that the sun was just barely coming up. I look around the room and realized that I was still at Twilight's house. I looked at her bed and saw that her blankets were tangled and she was gone.

I began to panic when I remembered my dream from last night. I slowly started to breathe hard when I had a thought.

Maybe the dream was just a vision of the future or something?

I slowly stood up and tried to calm myself down.

It's okay, it was just a dream. I'm sure that Twilight is downstairs and she is making breakfast or-

Who are you kidding? It should be true. Who would want a pathetic little bitch like-

"Shut up." I whispered to myself as I made my way towards the door. I opened the door and peeked out into the hallway. I saw a door open that was closed before. I think it's Twilight's brother's room. I slowly stepped into the hallway and looked towards the stairs. I rubbed my eyes and flipped my messy hair to the right side.

You can do this.

I tip toed downstairs and looked toward the living room.

I breathed a sigh of relief to only see Twilight's mom sitting in the living room reading.

"Good morning honey, how did you sleep?" I flinched when I realized I was staring to long and she noticed me.

"Oh, I slept alright. How about you?" I slowly walked into the living room and stood in front of her.

"Eh, alright. My husband kept kicking me in his sleep though." She lightly laughed before putting her purple and white hair up into a messy bun and pushing up her glasses. "Twilight's in the kitchen." She gave me a warm smile before going back to reading.

"Thank you." I walked away and went into the kitchen, finding Twilight standing over the stove.

"Hey Fluttershy." She turned around with two plates in her hands. "How'd you sleep?"

I sat down at the kitchen table as she set down my plate of pancakes and a cup of orange juice.

I knew she was curious about what happened last night...

"Pretty good." I felt bad for lying, but I knew it was for the best.

It was time to leave behind this petty rivalry and start a new friendship.

She sat across from me with her cup of juice and another stack of pancakes. I looked at mine and realized there are three of them and they had butter running on the sides. I slowly licked my lips and the delicious pancakes as I gently poured some syrup on top.

"Thank you." I said quietly as I picked up my fork. I took a bite and hummed at how good they were.

We didn't really say much while we ate, small things of how we slept and what we've been doing recently.

"So, what are you going to do today?" I took another bite of my pancakes and smiled as I looked at her. She looked hesitant... Almost like she was hiding something? No, that couldn't be it. Was it?

"Oh, uh... Books. Studying and books and stuff I normally do." Her eyes avoided looking at me as she rubbed her palms on her pants. "Wow, these were good, huh?" She got up and took her plate and cup and set it in the sink. I slowly got up with my plate and cup as I studied her movements.

Why was she lying?

My mind pondered this question as I set my plate and cup in the sink.

"I'm going to go upstairs and get ready for today." I said quietly as I turned around.

"W-Well, actually-" I turned back towards her and saw her fumbling with her words. "I thought maybe we could go to the mall or something today?" She smiled awkwardly and I couldn't help but feel bad for being rude.

"Alright. That sounds good." I said as I smiled back at her. Her face lit up for a second as she remembered something.

"Oh yeah! What happened to your phone? I tried to call you the other day and no one picked up."

A few more tears run down my face as I shakily grab my phone. I unlock it and go to my contacts. My thumb hovers over Rainbow Dash's number for the longest time.

Doesn't matter if you do it, you treated her like shit. She's not going to want to talk to you again.

I ran my hands threw my hair as I sobbed harder, my head reminding me of the truth. There's no way she will ever want to talk to me again...

I threw my phone into the passenger seat and heard a crack as I tried to stop myself from crying. I got out of the car and slammed the door as I ran into the house, lazily trying to unlock the door. I slid down the back of the door and rested my head on my knees as I continued to cry.

Oh yeah, I forgot. I still  have to get me a new one... I got so mad that one day because of Rainbow Dash that I threw it...

"Oh, uh, I dropped it and it broke." I laughed lightly as I scratched the back of my neck. "Anyway, I'm going to go upstairs and get dressed now." I gave her one last smile as I went upstairs.

As I got to the top I heard Twilight talking to someone.

"Hey, I got some news." My eyes widened as I continued down the hall and to Twilight's room.

Who was she talking to?
