Over the months since you had met Roger, you had grown closer. He had come to see you on Broadway a few times and you had met up on your own accord to share a drink of to sing together, sharing the pleasures of your voices. You hated to admit how fond you had become of him. He had previously dated your sister; they had once been in love and you never wanted to hurt your sister. You didn't know if this would hurt her; you didn't know if she still felt something for him and that terrified you as you could get in the way of her heart.

As you did regularly, you headed over to the loft that he shared with Mark and would pop over to Mimi's later seen as they lived in the same building. Normally you were very excited to see him but this time you timidly sat on their battered old sofa and avoided getting to close to him, shuffling along it to force as big a gap between you as you could on the sofa.

"You're acting weird," he frowned. "Have I done something to upset you?"

You paused but shook your head. "I fear that we have both hurt Mimi, or at least we are going to hurt her."

He seemed confused and cocked an eyebrow at you.

"I like you Roger; I like you a lot, but you dated my sister. I don't want to overstep that boundary and hurt her."

Roger gave you a gentle smile, reaching a handout to touch your arm. "You don't need to worry about Mimi. If we were supposed to be together, we wouldn't be exes."

It helped soften your mind but not fully. "What about Mimi? What if she still loves you?"

Roger shook his head and assured you that he had spoken with your sister as he didn't want to pursue her sister romantically without her knowing, not wanting to hurt their friendship.

"So, you actually like me too?" You questioned, needing to be sure that it wasn't an unrequited interest.

He let out a chuckle. "I like you quite a lot."

Allowing himself to slide towards you, he reached up a hand to cup your cheek as he leaned in to lovingly press his lips to your own. When he pulled away, you felt lost in the moment, lost in the connection you felt for him.

"Wow," you whispered, feeling a little dazed. "I don't know what to say."

He smiled warmly at you as he grabbed his guitar. "I think I have something."

Roger began to strum on the guitar, playing a very familiar tune you had learnt through your time on the stage.

"A heart full of love, a heart full of song."
