Chapter 40

WARNING- THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SOME SENSITIVE ISSUES .SO, I REQUEST SENSITIVE MINDS TO READ THIS CHAPTER ON THEIR OWN RISK. HERE I HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT SOME ISSUES WHICH ARE FACED BY MANY WOMEN IN SOCIETY.
I DO NOT INTEND TO HURT ANY SECTION OF SOCIETY BY THIS CHAPTER.THIS CHAPTER IS TOTALLY FICTIONAL BUT IT RAISES SOME CRIMES WHICH WOMEN ARE FACING THESE DAYS.

So, it is  been a week since  my mom  has  returned home. Till now I don't have any clue about what happened to Reena didi that night and why did my mom took that extreme step. I have no answers to these questions .Well, today my midterm results are coming out and I am anxious because Dad wants good marks from me and his expectations are quite high making me jittery. So, for the first time in my life dad is attending my school parent teacher meeting because my mom is too depressed to step out of the house .

Since, Reena didi is not around Robby uncle is making breakfast along with lunch and dinner. I am really missing  Reena didi's breakfast . I still don't know where Reena didi is and this is filling my heart with despair . After finishing my breakfast I wear my uniform to attend school . Since today is Parent's Teacher meeting we have  half day for school and after that PTM will take place where my class teacher will disclose marks of students infront of their respective parents.

The day passed quickly in school . Cherry and Taniya were cool about their exam results but on the other hand I am quite nervous . So, as the PTM started, I nervously waited  for my dad to come in the meeting. The Parent Teacher Meet started at 11am and I waited and waited ......all the parents visited but my dad has not arrived yet. It's 12:50pm and the meeting will end at 1pm.

Since only my dad is left to meet Shashi miss . I am the only one left in the classroom so, Shashi miss asked me" Diya I have to leave for home after 10 minutes so tell me if for your parents are coming to meet me or not '. Well I simply felt embarrassed so, I lowered my gaze and I spoke " Miss Today my dad had to come to meet you but I guess he got stuck in some urgent  work. I am sorry Miss". Shashi miss softly told me" It's okay Diya you don't need to be embarrassed .I can wait for your Dad for a few more minutes , right now I am in the staff room when your dad comes ,do inform me and then I will meet your Dad". I smiled and I thanked Shashi Miss . Teachers like Shashi miss are on a verge to be extinct , I mean Shashi miss is so considerate, kind and helpful as she never judges me on immediate circumstances and such  kind of teachers are becoming rare on this planet earth.

So, at 1:20 pm my dad finally arrived in my classroom . He said "Diya where is your damn teacher ? Why is your teacher not in the class? Such an irresponsible teacher and here I have cancelled my important surgeries just to meet that teacher" . As my dad was busy ranting non sense about Shashi miss , I heard someone clearing his throat behind us. To my horror Shashi miss was standing there right behind  us . Argh...I want the earth to swallow me up . I hope Shashi miss has not heard the non sense which my dad was speaking about her a few minutes ago.

Shashi miss came inside the classroom and she asked me and Dad to sit on the chairs laid across the teacher's  table . I sat nervously while dad had bored expressions on his face. Shashi miss started to speak " So, Mr . Mehra  you  got late for the meeting , Diya was waiting for you for so long". My dad spoke irritated " Miss I am a Neurologist and I own a hospital, so I don't have time to attend these PTMs but still I postponed my work just to get the report card of my daughter .So, please don't waste my precious time and handover the result to me".

Argh...what the heck. Why is dad talking to Shashi miss  in such a manner . Uff...now how will I face Shashi miss after this meeting gets over , I am sure after this Shashi miss will hate me forever . My whole face is covered with sweat beads as I am ashamed of my dad's rude and harsh words which he has spoken to Shashi miss.
