anyone else but you - the moldy peaches
CW: Eating disorder, hints at child abuse, hints at death
June:
"God Sage as much as we love you, you need to figure all that out," Pansy says waving her hand at Draco while he walks away. Sage sighs and says
"Yeah, I know."
"Right so, enough depressing shit, how are we stealing this dress?" Blaise says trying to lighten up the mood.
"I'm thinking you can ask if Draco and I can come to for a day before the ball or come to pick you up, and then we get it and we alter it. " Charlotte says, then I say
"I can learn a spell and hem it." Pansy pecks my cheek and then moves her lips to my ears.
"I don't know about this," she whispers, I turn to look at her and cup her face,
"I'm going to keep you safe, mkay." She only nods and leans into me. Theo's voice interrupts us.
"I think that's a good plan, we can all "visit" you for the first day of break and get it fixed."
"So this "ball" what do you guys like even do, do you guys get to wear like real ball gowns," Sage says and I realize I'm just as interested as she is.
"Mostly we dance, we drink, eat, and most of all we sulk," Blaise says laughing. We all join in and then Pansy says
"And yep, we do wear ball gowns." I'm amazed that they are living in this whole other reality of wealth.
"They are a pain in the arse and those fucking corsets are so annoying." Theo curses.
"Wait, why?" I ask
" 'Cus they are so big and the corsets take way too long to get off," Blaise adds. We all start laughing.
The next hour goes like this, I amazed at their double life and them complaining about all the parties and events. Throughout the hour they all left for their various classes so it was just me and Pans.
But I couldn't help to think, while I would love to attend some of these balls since they sound like so much fun I know they come with a price.
The price of very dark magic, the only kind death eaters use, and it becomes just another reminder of how not right I am for Pansy.
I wish I could help them all, I hate that they are forced into this "cult"? I know they don't believe what the Dark Lord preaches but their Purebloods, lines, and lines of Deatheaters before them, who are they to stop the pattern?
The Weasleys are few of the only surviving Purebloods that aren't Death Eaters, and the majority that aren't well, let's just say their bloodlines are practically ended. I'm pulled out of my thoughts by Pansy saying,
"Babe, next class starts soon. As much as I don't want you to leave I know Care of Magical Creatures is your next class and it's your favorite." I look at her in awe.
"You memorized my schedule!" She looks away and then back at me her cheeks now rosy, chewing on the side of her mouth she says with a chuckle
"How am I supposed to escort you to classes?" I smile at her, I always just assumed she had asked someone.
"And why do I need an escort?" I ask teasingly
"Because you're mine."
"Oh? Am I now?" I tease her again giggling. I stop laughing when she grabs my chin and forces me to look at her.
"Yes, you are, all mine. No one else will look at you with tasteful eyes, no one will flirt with you and so help me, Merlin, no one will touch you." I shiver at her words and she continues "Just because I'm the one in the hospital bed doesn't mean I can't still put you in your place."
Well, that escalated quickly. My heartbeat has quickened and I'm sure my cheeks are bright red. She lets go of my chin and cups my face softly this time.
"Such a good girl when you want to be." She coos and leans in and kisses me. Soft and gentle and I wrap my arms around her missing her embrace. Our lips intertwine and I taste the salt on her tongue and feel her large sweater beneath my fingers.
The same one I've stolen from her far too many times. She leans back. "Now be a good girl and go to class." I stand up and straighten out my robes.
"Fine. Try and have something to eat while I'm gone? We're gonna figure this out, okay. You have some pretty amazing friends and you'll always have me." I kiss her on the forehead and grab my satchel. I start to walk away and hear a soft whisper say
"Is that a promise?" and of course I reply with
"It's a promise."
