When Draco left to go back to school Catina didn't quite know what to do with herself. The pair had formed quite a bond and when he left he gave her the biggest hug you could ever imagine. He held her so tight she was lifted off her feet and a small squeal slipped from her lips. Even Draco could see what Bellatrix was saying. Catina certainly had Black family resemblance.

When Draco got to school he spotted Harry, Ron and Hermione and debated going over to them. From what he had heard from Catina, Potter wasn't all that bad and in fact, he would probably get on well with the shaggy-haired boy but he broke the ties years ago because of his foolish ego. He didn't particularly like Crabbe or Goyle if he was honest, they got forced together from a young age so they ended up sticking together because of it. They were boring and lumps that cared mostly for food and secondly for hurting younger kids. Yes, Draco would tease younger years but teasing is one thing, beating them up was another (a vicious one at that and even he wouldn't sink to that).

He did like Blaise Zabini, however. Zabini was dark and mysterious and despite his cold appearance he was actually one of the kindest boys in the world but he clashed a lot with his brother and the two argued a lot but they still loved each other. Even his family were all kind (even though all were in Slytherin but his younger brother Zedan who is a Hufflepuff) and he wasn't sure why Blaise put on this facade.

That didn't stop his jealousy, he wanted a friendship like Harry, Ron and Hermione's. That was a friendship out of love, not situation. He hoped he was forming that with Catina- she seemed to understand him.

Out of his peripheral vision, he caught sight of the twins. One was trying to cheer the other up who was attempting to keep things light even though his pain was still highly visible. Without a second thought he made a beeline towards them, halting them in their stride.

"Weasley." He said, it wasn't a sneer but it wasn't exactly a nice tone either.

"What do you want, Malfoy?" Demanded George with his eyebrows knitted together. His jaw was tightly clenched as he tried to decipher why exactly Malfoy was in their way.

"I thought you ought to know of news on Lennox."

Fred pushed George to the side. "What do you know?" He asked, a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes. "Is she okay?"

Draco wanted to tell him the full truth but selfishly he thought- if I am to tell them where she is, I won't get to spend more time with her. Biting his tongue, and running his fingertips through his pristine-neat, blonde hair he sighed. "I only overheard my father discussing the whereabouts of some of the other escapees and he mentioned Lennox. She's safe and as well as can be considering. I don't know anything else." He spun on his heels and strutted off before Fred had the chance to try and rinse him for more information.

Fred's heart sung, hearing that she was somewhat okay was a wash of relief. It wants much but it was enough to settle him. Even George felt relieved at the news and a smile spread on his twins' face as they bundled into the Great Hall to tell the other's the news.

There was no more news on Catina for the following months. Fred held onto the little hope he had and didn't let that bring him down even with Umbridge's torment becoming too much. Him and George decided to escape it all. There was it point and they had fortunately been given the money from Harry in order to open up their own joke shop. He wished Catina was there to see it.

It all went- in the words of a potty British sailor- tits up from there.

Harry had been having nightmares like those he had when he saw Mr Weasley get attacked. This time it was Sirius in the Department of Mystery in the Ministry. He wasted no time (along with Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood) in going there to rescue Sirius.

It was a trap.

A trap where Catina was caught up in it all.

The Order swarmed the Ministry as the adolescents fought against the deatheaters. Bellatrix got caught up in the fire with Sirius. "Expelliarmus!" Cried Sirius but Bellatrix dodged it.

Bellatrix sent a jinx silently towards him- a non-harmful one- she couldn't bare to hurt Sirius even though she never particularly liked him. She had Catina in the back of her mind, the prospect of this being her father wouldn't leave her. She wouldn't forgive herself if she caused anymore pain to Catina's life.

"Come on! Is that all you've got?"

Admittedly, this irked Bellatrix but she bit her inside of the cheek. Bellatrix actually stepped back much to Sirius's surprise and Harry sent a jinx her way.

"Nice one James!" Shouted Sirius without realising as Harry continued to send spells her way without the woman retaliating.

"Where is she?" Harry demanded, "where is Cat?"

Bellatrix still didn't respond other than blocking his attack. She didn't say a word. Catina was safe and she didn't need them. She had her.

"I said, where is Cat?"

"Come on cousin! Where is Cat?"

"She's safe!" Bellatrix spat and darted out of the room.

Sirius wasn't satisfied with that answer. He chased after his cousin but was knocked down by Lucius Malfoy. He was out cold on the floor. Dead.

Harry cried a ear-piercing scream and rushed towards Sirius only to be grabbed by Remus who buried his head into Harry's neck to conceal his own pain. All of his best friends were now gone.

Harry fought Remus off and followed after Bellatrix who was still running but skidded to a stop once she caught sight of the Dark Lord. Harry, halted too, his eyes fell on the Dark Lord who wore a large, dark grin, his eyes bearing evil and a cackle slipped from his thin lips.

"You said you would leave her out of this all!" Bellatrix bellowed, "she's just a child!"

"I said nothing of the sort, Bella. I did want to leave her be but you forget, I can penetrate Potter's mind like tying up a shoe lace. He has a bond with the werewolf and I thought I could use it to my advantage." He smirked.

Bellatrix stomped her foot like an inpetulant child. "No! Let her go! Leave her be!"

Catina stood in Voldemort's grip with a far away look in her eyes. Harry recognised it immediately from the previous school year, it was the imperious curse. She wasn't in control of herself.

"You can have me, Riddle!" Called Harry, "but it's me or Cat. You let her go and you can have me. You keep her, you don't get me. No negotiation."

Voldemort laughed, "Potter, you never cease to be heroic. I don't want her. You can have her." He tossed Catina to the ground who laid there, eyes open, not moving except breathing. Bellatrix went to rush to Catina's side but he hindered her by Malfoy grasping hold of her.

"Now, come Potter, come to your fate."
