21- Nether Railroad

It was now March, the snow melted down, the weather turned rainy and/or sunny, and the temperature rose. I like this kind of temperature, it's calming. It's not too hot, not too cold, you know?

The server was calm, Tommy and Wilbur did their.... things. I don't really know what they do, but one thing always happens. Arguing. It's funny because, you can hear Tommy's screaming and cursing, no matter where you are.

I planned to meet up with Purpled today, we were going to go adventuring in the nether. I needed more netherite for a new axe. After my fight with Wilbur during the war, I never found my axe. I know Wilbur has it, but he can keep it. It's low durability anyways. When I found a wandering Purpled shearing sheep, I walked up to him and started waving. He caught a glimpse of me, and smiled.

"Hey Y/N! Ready to go to the nether?" He said, finishing off shearing the last 3 sheep.
"I hate that place with all my guts, but yes!" I said, swallowing back fear. He gave me a soft giggle while handing me a couple pieces of bread. I took them, and we headed off to the nether portal.

"Ladies first!" I said.
"Aren't you a lady?" He said, still staring at the purple colored portal.
"Yep!" I said, the fear becoming too much to swallow.
"Go together?" Purpled said, holding out his hand. I smiled and grabbed it, and we walked in together.

I opened my eyes to see hell. Lava everywhere, netherrack redder than ever, and glowstone shining brightly. I swallowed the last of the fear I had in me. Purpled placed down the minecart we were going to use for going somewhere safer to mine. The railroad rode over miles and miles of lava oceans, which always made my stomach turn.

As we approach the first lava lake, I hide in the minecart. I feel Purpled's hand around my shoulder. He knew how to calm me down without getting Tommy mad. Whenever I felt someone else's presence, I calmed down. Being alone is one of my worst fears, I hate it. As we finished riding over the first lava lake, I look up to see Purpled having his headphones on, jamming to "Tidal Waves 2 - BandanaBloom" (good song to vibe to, i recommend!) he looks over, and offers me a headphone. I politely accept, and put it in my ear, immediately feeling calm. The railroad was about a 10 minute ride, so we went through 4 songs before making it.

We went mining for a couple minutes, and took around 2 breaks to drink potions of haste. (i know they don't exist, don't kill me)

I saw a dark shadow zoom past my eyes, and immediately stood up, diamond sword at the ready.

"Y/N what's-" I shushed him with my hand.

"We aren't alone" I said, whispering into his ear. His eyes widened and he took out an axe.

"Hello." I heard from behind me.
Purpled turned around first, and got the living daylights knocked out of him with a bat. I turned around to see Quackity there.

"You have some real fucking nerve showing your face to anyone. What the hell do you want?"
He chuckled.
"Only to join your area. I know we haven't had our best relationship, but I still need a place to live."
"You think I give 2 fucks about the fact that you're a homeless cunt? What makes you think i'd even let you in?"
"See what I did to your buddy, Purpled? He's not a strong fella, now is he?" I looked down to see Purpled still passed out.

"Touch him once, and you're a fucking goner. I'll die myself to kill you in the gulag, i-" He put his hand over my mouth , and I swung my sword, dropping him 3 hearts. My sword wasn't enchanted, but it never let me down.

Quackity winced in pain. I grabbed Purpled bridal style, and grabbed the rest of the netherite. I fumbled through my bag to find the minecart. I placed it down, jumped in, and set Purpled down, his head laying on my lap. Balance needed to be kept equal when riding with 2 people, so I needed to.

Purpled POV
I woke up to Y/N looking out the minecart. We were riding on the railroad back. I look down and see netherite scraps and ingots next to my legs. I was fading in and out of consciousness. She looked down before I passed out, and she held my hand to show that she's still here with me.

I woke up again, still in the minecart. We were still riding, and Y/N was still looking out. Her hands were running through my hair, and it felt very comfortable. Everytime I had either slept or passed out near her, she was the first to take care of me. We've been best friends since I stepped foot in the Dream SMP, which is a very long time. Over 5 years. I couldn't help but catch feelings 2 years ago, but when she talked to me about Tommy, I couldn't help but hide the feelings. Everything about her was great, there was nothing better than seeing her smile.

Shake it off Grayson, she's dating Tommy, cmon. Be happy for her.

Y/N POV

I focused my attention to Purpled for a while. I used to like him 3 years ago, until I met Tommy. The feelings never left, they just decreased over time. If I didn't meet Tommy, i'd probably be dating him. He's a good guy, but I think Tommy was more different than me. Opposites attract, right?

I look down to see Purpled trying to open his eyes. I give him a soft rub on his hand, and a light smile. He smiled back before passing out again. He was hit hard, it's impossible that he can wake up so quickly. I kept looking around. Although I despised looking at the huge lava lakes, I had to keep an eye out. Quackity didn't chase us, but he's a very... scary guy. He appears when you least want him, and where ever. We made it to the end of the railroad, and I put the netherite scraps in my bag, putting the ingots in Purpled's bag. I carried him out the portal, almost vomiting on him over the turbulence we had in the minecart, and the shift from the overworld was always super bothering.

I walked over to his ufo, and went up, setting him down on the bed. I pulled up an oak plank block that I could sit down on. His dog, DogChamp, ran over to me, licking me tons. I pet him and let him sit on my lap. I couldn't get rid of the memory of Quackity. When he trapped me in that weird room, when he knocked out my best friend, when he... kissed me. Everything was rushing back. I felt the room spin, the ground move up and down as if it was jelly. My head was heavy, my legs were weak, my eyes lost vision every now and then. I was having a panic attack.

I see DogChamp run over to me, and put his head on my lap. I felt my vision come back slowly, but surely. The room spun less, the ground bounced less. I felt myself calming down. I took a small nap to calm myself. I woke up to DogChamp sound asleep next to me, and Purpled still passed out. I stood myself up, and walked back to my house. I grabbed a cookie and ripped it in half. I wasn't too hungry. Nobody was home, I don't really know where they went. I walked over to L'manburg to see Quackity there, standing with Tommy and Wilbur.

Laughing. Having fun. With my boyfriend. And my friend. As if nothing happened.

I ran back to Purpled's ufo, tearing up a bit. I reminded myself that I was with a loyal person now, Purpled. He wouldn't do that stuff to me. Speak of the devil, he woke up right as I was thinking of him.

"Hi.. hey... how do you feel?" I said softly, giving him a light smile.

"Mmmm....better. What happened...?" He said, trying to sit up. I helped him up and talked about what happened. He looked shocked, then looked down. He started to cry.

"Hey.. don't cry.. it's okay.. you're okay now.. that's what matters... i love you.." I gave him a hug, and he gave in and hugged me back, crying even more. We stayed like that for a while, until he let go.

"i'm so sorry you had to go through that y/n, I feel bad i wasn't there for you when you needed me-" I hugged him again.

"Don't apologize. I'm okay now, so are you. That's what matters." He gave me a smile and hugged me again, I smiled to myself behind his shoulder.

I'm so lucky to have him, he makes my entire day brighen, just with him being here. I don't deserve a friend like him.

Our wholesome moment ended quickly, hearing a faint voice screaming;

"WHAT THE FUCK-"

Oh Tommy, what now?
