Warnings: Guns (that's pretty much it)

I know it's been really long since I last updated but a lot of things happened in the past few weeks, a lot pertaining to the covid-19 pandemic. I'll try my best to update at least once a week from now onwards. Hopefully I'll update more regularly, but yeah. Thank you guys so much for reading!

It was on the most normal day you'd ever had in a long time that you realized how fate always had a weird way of making its presence known. Fate. The word you began a love/hate relationship with on that day. It was 10 in the night and the diner you worked had just closed. As you walked out from the staff room, starting to untie your serving apron, your friend called out to you from the cashier's desk. You turned to her, about to ask why she'd called you, when your eyes fell on a table at the far corner next to the windows, where four men in crisp black suits were seating themselves. You frowned. Hadn't you put up the 'closed' sign just a few minutes ago? Checking the doors to make sure you had, you started walking towards the group of men, but then stopped dead in your track. The pink haired man who sat himself on the outer edge of the bench placed a gun on the table in front of him, before getting comfortable in his seat. Your eyes widened, and you immediately turned to look at your friend at her counter with a questioning look. Her eyes were equally wide and she had pursed her lips in a thin line. When she slowly shook her head in a signal to stop you from telling them that the diner was closed, your frown deepened. Your friend had more experience working there, so deciding to trust her instinct, you grabbed a few menu cards before heading over to the table. Your mind was screaming at you to tell them that the diner was closed, but as you neared the table, a different feeling creeped into your heart. At first you thought that it was their unique hair colors, but then when you straightened up from placing the menu cards on the table and took a clear look at their faces, you realized that it was their outlandishly good looks and piercing eyes that was making your heart beat fast, more so than when you usually served handsome customers.

"What's today's special?" asked the orange haired man and you couldn't help but grit your teeth. These terribly handsome men dressed in suits thought that they could just walk into a diner after it had been closed and ask for the day's specials? Biting your tongue to stop yourself from saying anything rude, you forced a smile onto your face, and for the sake of the gun that seemed to sneer at you from its place on the table, you listed out the specials for the day.

As the orange haired men placed the orders on behalf of the others, you nodded your head in a practiced motion. "Aren't you closed?" the pink haired man suddenly spoke up, making you whip your head towards him. Blue eyes as cool as the ocean stared up at you, and you inhaled deeply. The look on his handsome face was making your heart behave weirdly, but you were only fazed for a second. "You should've asked that question before you walked in, sir," you replied with a smile before bowing down. "Please wait twenty minutes," you said, smile never dropping. Just before you turned around to walk away, you caught sight of the shocked look on the pink haired man's face. Serves them right, you told yourself as you rushed into the kitchen to stop the cooks from clearing everything away. It was only when you'd finished informing the cooks that you felt your heart jump to your throat. "Y/N!" your friend hissed, walking into the kitchen. "Are you out of your mind?! Those men have guns, for pete's sake!" "Oh, come on! Guns or not, handsome or not, they can't just walk in and demand the day's specials after closing hours!" you retorted, which made your friend's face break out in a smile. "You think they're handsome?" she asked, and you rolled your eyes. "More like drop-dead gorgeous!" cried out one of the cooks. "Shhh! Shut up! They'll hear you!" you called out with a smile.
