13.

The next week or two went by in a flash. Life in this world felt nice and different. I loved it. Jay and I spent basically all the time together talking and him showing me around the world and all the things he created out of boredom; weird creatures or random inventions yeah all that. The other day Jay took me to a different kingdom he created, it was so beautiful. It was also really cool to see the world 200 years ago and what it really felt like in person.

As the week goes by the days start to go shorter and colder indicating that winter is approaching.

I sat at on the swing with a duvet wrapped around me. I liked to be alone sometimes because Jay literally doesn't want to leave me alone.

I've been in this world for almost a month now and yet I barely have anyone to talk to besides Jay. I think it's about time to talk to people, socialising is good plus people here seem so nice and bright, everyone in the other world seemed depressed, or maybe it's just me.

I sat in the diningroom alone thinking who I should talk to. Jay is out somewhere, probably building a kingdom or fixing one, Idk.

Then I remembered something. Jay rings the bell on the wall to alert his knight.

hmm..

I violently shook the bell trying to make as much noise as possible. After less than a minute a fully armed guy appeared at the door, he was a little surprised to see me by the bell instead of Jay.

"Can I help you?" He said with a monotone voice. This guy was quite tall, he had brown hair and seemed really quiet.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Jay?" I asked ignoring his question. He didn't relax his posture, it's stiff, tense and ready to fight anything that decides to jump us.

"He told me to stay here and look after you" I'm in a castle with millions of guards around. I'm sure I'll be fine.

"Sounds great let's go" Before he could even say or do anything I hooked my arm to the guys arm and dragged him out towards the garden.

"What are you- I can't go in there." He stopped making me stop.

"C'mon you're his personal guard, I'm sure he won't mind"

"I'm sorry but an order is an order." He just stood there while I was trying to pull him with me. In the end, I just lead him to a grassy area under a tree that wasn't in the garden. I saw in the distance the tree with the swing on the hill.

"So what's your name?" I said as I sat down and pulled him down with me.

"That's irrelevant"

"Look I just want someone else to talk to and you seem really nice plus you're friends with Jay, I'm friends Jay we have something in common."

The guy let out a sigh.

"Sunghoon. I'm Sunghoon"

"I'm April."

"I know" You know?

"How?"

"Jay. He's always talking about you."

I felt warm again. On my face and in my heart. Sunghoon turned to me giving me the slightest smile before speaking.

"He really cares about you. I've never seen him this happy since May."

I smiled. It felt good to know I impacted someone's life and I was valuable to someone.

"You know Sunghoon, we'd make good friends" I laid my head on the grass and not long after Sunghoon joined me.

"Yeah." He said.

We spent the rest of the afternoon talking and getting to know each other. He told me how he met Jay, which was through helping the kingdom and stuff. He told me about his family that currently lives in the local village. He asked me about my family. I couldn't tell him about my world because I don't think he'd understand. So I just made up that my family died and Jay helped me.

"You remind me of someone." Sunghoon said sitting up from the grass.

"Who?" I replied sitting up with him.

"May" Ah this again. I didn't say anything but just nodded.

"So what do you normally do."

"What do you mean"

"Like in your free time not fighting in wars and stuff."

"Well I'm with Jay and I do whatever he wants. Sometimes we just sit and chat, other times we train together."

Training?

"What kind of training?"

"Like fighting and stuff. Combat and swords."

My mouth was shaped like an O. I nodded my head, seams kind of typically for people in this time.

"You seem like the curious type, would you like to join us? I can teach you when Jay's away."

Teach me how to fight and use weapons? I'm gonna be the one that's gonna get hurt.

"I'm gonna chop off my arm" I laughed and Sunghoon joined.

"It'll fun plus a good way to pass the time."

"Let me think about ok" He nodded and calm silence fell upon us. It was getting dark and quite fast because it was Autumn.

In the distance, I could hear a faint sound of a bell ringing. Suddenly Sunghoon stood up, grabbed my arm and started running off making me leave the duvet on the grass.

"Quick, Jay's back!"

"But the blanket"

He just ran dragging me with him ignoring me completely. We made it into the castle and into the dining room where Jay was.

"Jay, is there a problem?" Sunghoon said as I started to catch my breath.

"I was gonna ask if you could find April but it looks like you already have her."

I looked up and saw Jay standing in front of me and Sunghoon. I grabbed Sunghoon's shoulder as balance.

"Where were you today?" I was still out of breath.

"To another kingdom to sort some stuff out, when did you two become friends?"
