Willow’s POV

I opened my eyes and stared at the dead girl in front of me, another body fell behind me, shaking the ground as it so.

I turned around and found Sean and Floyd putting their hands down. I stared at them in shock then at granny who looked stuck at her spot. She looked like she couldn’t move anywhere.

“I told you to keep her in her room,” Floyd said and granny looked at me.

“Are you okay?” she asked coming to hug me. I smiled nodding my head.

“How about you go take a shower?” Sean asked and Floyd rolled his eyes.

“There are dead bodies out of this room, Don. The least you could do is take her to her room as a normal husband would. I don’t want her having nightmares,” Floyd said and Sean sighed and stared at me. I walked away from granny and out of the room, as Floyd said, the dead bodies piled up in the hallway.

I got into my room and found my suitcase, I sighed and went to the shower. I got out thirty minutes later and found Sean in my room. I stared at him and he turned to me.

“I am meeting the new face in four hours, you want to come with me?” he asked and I nodded my head.

The door opened and Floyd came in with his tablet, he looked me up and down and smirked before turning to Sean who had a clenched jaw, “I found you a perfect face.”

“I didn’t ask for your help,” Sean said and walked to the window.

“The one you picked is not helpful, he has a family. He would spill the beans anytime someone threatened his wife,” Floyd said and Sean looked at me over his shoulder. I only had the towel wrapped around my small figure. With two men in my room, both about to fight for the mafia face.

“And the one you picked?” I asked Floyd and he turned to me with a smirk, eye-undressing me in front of my husband, not that Sean would care anyways but it was wrong.

“Ex-criminal. No family, no friends, just living a life that would get him killed anytime,” he said and I took the tablet from him. I looked at the man he got for Sean, he looked rich. But he had no money according to Floyd’s research.

“He is good, Sean. If he gets killed, you don’t have to worry about his mourning family,” I said and he sighed before looking at me.

“You are agreeing with him because you like him?” he asked turning to face me. What the hell?

“Stop being petty,” Floyd said and I rolled my eyes.

“Or we take both and give them a test. The winner will be your guy,” I suggested and Floyd nodded. I shrugged and walked to the suitcase. I opened it and pulled out my black jumpsuit with an oversized shit, I turned to them and found them both staring at me.

“Why are you still here?” I asked and they looked at each other and then at me. They walked out and I put the jumpsuit on and the shirt on top.

It was time for the meeting and I had to choose whom I went with. Sean or Floyd, Sean was meeting with Stephen, and Floyd was meeting with Sam.

I got in the car with Sean and he drove out of the yard, I sighed closing my eyes and resting my head on the window. He stopped the car where he had dropped Angelica and she got in the back with me. I inwardly groaned, regretting not going with Floyd.

He stopped again somewhere and I refused to open my eyes.

“Hello,” Angelica said and I opened one eye to look at her. She was talking to the man who had just joined us in the car.
“I am Angelica Bernardo, Angel, for short,” I looked at the man who didn’t look even one bit interested. I sat straight and stared at him. Floyd was right, he would spill everything if his family got involved.

“I am Stephen. Stephen Perry,” he said and looked at me. His hand started playing with the ring on his ring finger.

“What work do you do?” I asked and he looked at me then at Sean.

“I am a doctor,” he answered and Sean turned around the corner to stop in front of the café. Floyd was already there, he was smoking outside. His eyes met mine through the tinted windows. He smiled and threw his cigarette on the ground before coming to open the car door for me.

“I have been waiting for you,” he said and held my hand, leading me inside the café and to a tall man who was looking at his tablet. I sat in front of the man and he looked at me and then at my hands. He looked back into my eyes and then looked at Floyd.

“You are married to her?” he asked and Floyd smiled.

“She is married to me,” Sean said causing us to turn to him. I stared at him then at Angelica who looked jealous.

“Ah, Mr. Bernardo,” the man said and stood up to shake Sean’s hand. I looked at Stephen behind Sean and shook my head. I walked to him and he looked at me and smiled.

“Mr. Perry, we do respect you for coming here but I don’t think you are ready for the life you would cause for your daughters,” I said and he raised an eyebrow.

“I am.”

“They will be targeted every single day, and if you ever think about spilling the beans to anyone, I will make sure they both get raped and killed. In front of you,” he looked at me like I was joking, and I chuckled, my eyes still locked on his.
“I can be very, very heartless.”

“I understand. I am sorry,” he said and I smiled at him.

“We will need you as a doctor though. You will be paid the same money he was going to pay you for being the face,” he nodded his head and Sean joined us.

“What are you discussing?” he asked and I smiled turning to him.

“I think you need to order him a car to take him home,” I said and Sean looked at the man who was nodding his head.

“Jace is already outside,” Sean said and the man walked out of the café without looking back.

“What did you say to him?”

“That we don’t want him as a face but as a doctor,” I shrugged and went back to Floyd and Sam. Angelica had taken my spot and there was only one chair remaining. Sean held my hand and sat down and pulled me on his lap.

“So, Sam-” Sean said and Floyd stared at us with jealousy.

“It’s Roland,” the man cut Sean off.

“Why did you say it was Sam?” Angelica asked and I rolled my eyes. She is gonna try to get in every man’s pants on this table.

“Why not?”

“I think Sam is cute,” she flirted and Roland looked at me then back at Angelica.

“I don’t care what you think,” he said and I smiled. He looked at Sean, waiting for his next question.

“What is your profession?” I asked and he smiled before taking a sip of his coffee.

“I used to be a diver before I got arrested,” he answered and I nodded my head.

“What happened?” I was looking deep into his eyes so that I can be able to tell if he is lying or telling the truth.

“I was a poacher on the side,” he said, returning my stare. I stared at his hands as they started drawing patterns on his cup. When I didn’t ask more questions, he leaned back languidly and closed his eyes. He seemed to be meditating as he kept quiet for a moment.

Nothing was said on the table until the man said, “I joined 27 when I almost died in jail. Three years ago.”

“So you joined the gang to protect yourself?” I asked and he nodded, he opened his eyes halfway and looked at me.

“That’s what happens, dummy,” Angelica said and I dug my nails into Sean’s hand to stop myself from stabbing her with the plastic fork.

“Who did you kill?” I asked and the man sat straight and looked into my eyes. For a second we studied each other.

“What do you mean?” he asked, I don’t know why I asked that question but I had to.

“It is blood in, blood out. You kill to get in, and you kill to get out. Who were your targets?” he couldn’t answer so he looked at Sean for rescue.

“Don’t answer that,” Sean said and I rolled my eyes. Soft mafia man. Angelica giggled.

“Suit yourself,” I said and rested my eyes on Floyd who had kept his eyes on me and Sean the entire time. I smirked at him and he shook his head, jealousy still visible on his face.

“Hello ladies and gentlemen,” a man said and I looked at him. He was so cute but not Sean and Floyd’s level of cute. He was not as tall as they were and his hair was messy like he had been running his hands through it since morning.

“Have you decided what to order?”

“If you are on the menu, I think I’ll have you,” I flirted and he looked at me before looking at the men on the table.

“Unfortunately, I am not,” he said showing me his ring finger. I smiled and raised my hand too. His eyes went wide and I chuckled, he didn’t look at Angelica who was smiling like a maniac at him. I rolled my eyes and smiled at the man.

“We’ll take five glasses of orange juice,” Floyd said and the man nodded before leaving.

“Can you just stop?” Sean asked and I looked at him.

“How about a no? I need to get laid,” I said and got up from his lap. I walked to the waiter and he gasped when he saw me.

“So, you are married?” he asked and I smiled at him.

“Sadly.”

“To which one over there?” he asked and I placed my hands on his chest and started fixing his shirt. He smiled and I shook my head. I bit my lower lip and looked back at my table. Sean had a clenched jaw and Floyd seemed to be enjoying his misery.

“Those guys are my brothers,” he nodded and I took his hand and placed it on my waist.
“Where is your wife?”

“She is glaring at you right now,” I raised an eyebrow and he nodded his head.

“Where?” he pointed behind me and I turned to find a girl my age glaring at me. He took my hand and made me wave at the girl. She rolled her eyes and walked toward us.

“You are so dead.”

“Do we have a problem here?” she asked and I looked at her husband who had his hand on my waist still.

“No, do you?” the girl looked at me in shock and then at her husband.

“If she tells me you gave her problems then we are having your d**k for dinner,” she said and I laughed.

We talked for a few more minutes before they both had to go back to work. Candice gave me her numbers and told me to call anytime I wanted to hang out or if I wanted translation.
She attends school and her husband is not the waiter but the owner of the café and he offered me the waitress job if I wanted it. I was excited to have friends, it was my first time having a girlfriend.

Sean and Angelica were all touchy and grabby ever since I came back from my friendship-making thing. Sean didn’t look happy with the touching Angelica was doing. It was like she was trying to make me jealous. Like I care, they deserve each other. I would vote for them to be a couple of the year.
