"Is everything ready?" Mino asked his best friend Seungyoon on the phone.

"Yep. Flowers and balloons, check! Chairs and tables, check! Food and drinks, check! Projector, check! Venue set-up, check! Cameras and videographers, check! Guests, check! Champagne, check!"

"And the ring?"

"The ring? Wait, I'm gonna ask Seunghoon hyung." Mino waited patiently as Seungyoon did what he told him.

"Mino, don't joke. You have the ring."

And that was when Mino started panicking. "What? You don't joke, Seungyoon-ah. I don't have it."

"What? Oh my god!"

"Babe, who's that?" Jinwoo was back from the washroom.

"Just Seungyoon, he's asking me about something," Mino answered and then said on the phone, "I don't know where it is. Just find it." Then he ended the call.

"So, are we going home now, babe?" Jinwoo asked Mino. It was their anniversary that day and they had been spending it together, doing all the things that Jinwoo wanted to do.

Earlier that morning, they had a picnic by the river. Mino prepared all the food - kimbap, teokbokki, and Jinwoo's favorite fried chicken. Then they went to a dog's cafe and a cat's cafe, and played with adorable pets there. The two of them were planning to adopt a pet soon.

They took their lunch at Jinwoo's favorite Japanese restaurant, and spent the afternoon in a shopping center. They didn't buy anything, they just wandered around hand-in-hand. Lastly, Mino bought Jinwoo to a movie theatre.

Now, it was almost night time so Jinwoo was asking if they were already going home, but Mino seemed to be too occuppied by his thoughts.

"Hey, babe, did you hear me?"

"Uhm..." 'Seungyoon, I'm trusting you my life,' Mino thought to himself before smiling to Jinwoo. "Let's have dinner first, babe."

"Huh? Babe, are you sure? Aren't you spending too much today?" Jinwoo laughed.

"Today is a very special day, babe, so I don't mind."

"Okay then."

The two finally reached the venue - Mino's favorite bar and restaurant. Mino is also friends with the owner.

"I think it's closed," Jinwoo remarked when he saw that the lights of the restaurant were off.

"No. They were just conserving energy."

"What?" Jinwoo chuckled.

Although hesitant, Jinwoo walked with Mino to the entrance of the restaurant.

Mino opened the door and...

"Surprise! Happy Anniversary!" Their close friends and family were all inside. There was a white screen in front with a projected message: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, SONGKIM!

"What is this?" Jinwoo asked.

"Surprise, babe!" Mino exclaimed to him.

Jinwoo took everything in - the smiling faces of the people who are dear to him, the white, pink, and purple flowers and balloons that adorned the place, the message on the screen. Jinwoo hugged his boyfriend. "Thank you! I love you!" he told him while tears were pouring down from his eyes.

"Anything for you. I love you too."

While Jinwoo was greeting their guests, Mino cornered Seungyoon. "Did you find it?"

Seungyoon shook his head. "I think you should cancel the proposal today."

Mino's shoulders fell. "Do I have any other option?"

"Go on with it without the ring."

Mino wanted to bump his head on the wall. Why out of all things that had to be misplaced, it had to be the ring? He sighed. "I'll look for it first."

Seungyoon nodded. "Don't worry. You already made hyung so happy today. I'm sure he won't mind a simple proposal."

Defeated Mino can only nod.

After they had all eaten, a program began wherein their loved ones gave their messages to the couple.

"This feels like a wedding," Jinwoo whispered to Mino.

Mino faked a smile. He cannot feel completely happy because his plan failed.

"Now, it's time for our beautiful couple to give their messages to each other," Seungyoon, the program emcee, announced.

The two stood up and went in front of the guests. Mino wanted to cry. It was supposed to be the moment where he'll kneel on the floor, show Jinwoo the ring, and ask him to marry him.

"You go first."

Mino nodded. He sighed before he began. "I love you, Jinwoo. I love you with all my heart! Happy fourth anniversary! Thank you for putting up with me for four years. Thank you for staying with me, for appreciating all of my efforts, for supporting me in everything I do, for laughing at my jokes, for easing my worries, for singing me to sleep whenever I feel anxious, for everything."

Mino began to cry. "I'm the luckiest person in the world because I'm the only one who can call you, Kim Jinwoo, mine."

"I love you too," Jinwoo whispered before hugging Mino. He wiped Mino's tears after and smiled. "My turn."

Mino nodded.

"I'm overwhelmed. You always make me feel overwhelmed in a very good way. Babe, before I met you, I feel so unconfident. I don't have any selt-worth. I'm always scared. After I met you, I feel... I feel like I'm finally alive." Jinwoo smiled. He wasn't crying, Mino was.

"You are so good to me, Mino-ya, and I hope I am to you too. I cannot imagine life without you anymore so..."

Mino's eyes widened when Jinwoo suddenly kneeled in front of him.

Jinwoo grinned. "Sorry, babe, I just had to be the one to do this. You deserved to be proposed to not the one proposing. I knew you were planning something so I forcefully told Seungyoonie and Seunghoonie to tell me what it is."

"What?!" Mino looked at their two friends. They were smiling while giving him finger hearts.

"Don't worry, they didn't tell me everything so I was genuinely surprised for all of this. By the way, I also found this." Jinwoo took something from his pocket. It was the ring Mino bought for him. Jinwoo put the ring back to his pocket and produced another one. "And got this.

"I was planning to propose to you too this day, babe. I'm sorry I had to ruin yours to do mine."

"Will you marry me?" Mino suddenly blurted.

A round of laughter was heard inside the restaurant.

When Jinwoo was done laughing, he said, "But you don't have a ring, and I do. So, will you marry me?"

Mino frowned. Then finally, he laughed to himself. "I can't believe this is happening." He pulled Jinwoo to stand up. "You know I can never say no to you so yes, I will marry you."

Then they hugged. "Should I put the ring on you?"

Mino nodded. "And let me put yours too."

They did so.

"Let's give our newly engaged couple a round of applause!"

"You're right," Mino whispered to Jinwoo. "This feels so much like a wedding."

Jinwoo chuckled. "I told you."
