The man who looks like Vincenzo causes an uproar at the event. People started whispering and curiously looked at the man in shock and confusion.
"Who is he?"
"Twin brother?"
"Wala akong alam na may kapatid si Vincenzo."
"I have a bad feeling about this...."
Mikael on the other hand has a smile plastered on his face. He glanced at Henrietta to see that his friend was standing frozen and disbelief was written on her face. Her complexion was pale and her hands trembled.
Shock naman na nakatitig si Vincenzo sa kamukha niya. How?! How the hell did he enter this place?! And he really come to this event?! Napaka-walang kwenta ng mga tauhan niya at nakapasok ang lalaking ito sa teritoryo niya!
"Shock?" the man said. He had an alluring smile whenever his lips curled up but his eyes were cold and distant.
Unti-unti itong lumapit. His eyes flashed in ridicule seeing his so-called family have shock faces. It took him too long to show his identity. Identity na kakaunti lamang ang nakakaalam. Ayaw niyang mabulag ang mga ito sa bastardong lalaking 'yon lalo na sa babaeng mahal niya. He tolerated him but what he did made him boil in anger. He dared to kissed her forcefully!
"P-paano...?" Jody's body trembled. Paanong nangyari na buhay pa ang isang anak niya?! At ang masaklap hindi niya man lang alam!
Napahawak siya sa braso ng asawa. Her legs went weak dahil sa nakikita. Her other son was alive!
Hindi pinansin ng lalaki ang ina at nakatutok ang pares ng malamig na mata sa kamukha nito. Vincenzo tensed and formed his hand into fist.
In a silent crowd the man spoke, "Masaya ba ang buhay na hindi sa'yo?"
"Are you satisfied with what you have? Knowing that it is not yours? "
The man's eyes darkened as he spat the next words.
"Masaya bang mabuhay gamit ang pangalan ko, Vicencio?"
Henrietta's breath hitched. Vicencio? The man she thought she married is not Vincenzo but Vicencio? How did this happened? Paanong niloko siya nito? Masyado ba s'yang naging kampante at nagtiwala sa lalaki? She felt utter disappointed.
"Ano?!"
"Vicencio? So ang lalaking 'to ay ang totoong Vincenzo?"
"Imposible! Baka naman ang lalaking ito ang tinatawag na Vicencio."
Vicencio can't let the man say it.
"He's lying. Paano mo mapapatunayan na totoo nga ang sinasabi mo. Do you have prof?" he challenge.
"You think I'll dare to say that without an ace in my hands?" The man who said that was the true Vincenzo, smirked. "You're a fool, Vicencio."
"What's the meaning of this?!" Dencio roared. Why the hell there are two Vincenzo? He knew that one of the twins was dead five years ago!
"Why don't you ask Vicencio?"
"I'm not Vicencio, bastard!"
"Son!" Dencio called his son na nakayuko lang buong durasyon simula ng pumasok ang lalaking 'to.
Huminga ng malalim ang anak ni Dencio.
"He's right, dad. He's my son, the true Vincenzo."
"That time when he was on a business trip, Vicencio hired killers to ambush the car Vincenzo was riding. Of course, hindi naman natin naisip na magagawa ito ni Vicencio sa kapatid niya and that was most I regret. He made us believe that the one who was killed is Vicencio and not Vincenzo. Matagal niya na pala itong plano dahil sa inggit at sa girlfriend nito. Remember Abby? She was in a relationship with Vicencio but he caught her with his twin in the office kung saan akala n'yang may affair ang dalawa. But the truth is, Abby was telling Vincenzo his plan about to ruin him. And you also tried to kill Abby..."
"At dahil tanga ka nahulog ka sa trap ko," singit ng totoong Vincenzo. "Of course, you are using my name kaya hindi mo magawang mapatay si Abby nang makita mo siya ulit. Guess what? She was part of this plan... to lure you out."
Standing with his might, a flash of killing intent passed on Vincenzo's eyes.
"You think you're smart? Pero narito ako ngayon, buhay at nakakausap mo. You are always late ahead, Vicencio. You're always be."
Jody fainted na agad namang sinalo ng asawa nito. Habang ang butler naman ng mansion ay inalalayan si Dencio na 'wag mag-collapse.
'Di makapaniwalang tumitig si Vicencio sa ama.
"You thought I wouldn't know it? You and Vincenzo have differences Vicencio. You can copy his face, his posture but never his aura, the way he carry himself and the feeling he had for his woman. Magkaiba kayo ng gusto pero hindi ko inaasahan na magkakagusto ka din sa babaeng gusto ng kapatid mo," aniya nito. He carried Ingrid in his arms at tumango sa kay Vincenzo. He know marami siyang pagkukulang sa anak at hindi siya basta mapapatawad nito but he will do everything para mapunan iyon.
"You were dead!" Vicencio lost it!
"Ang masamang damo hindi madaling mamatay. You hired assassins to kill me, unfortunately they were sent straight to hell."
Then Vicencio suddenly looked at Henrietta na nakatitig ngayon ng seryoso sa kapatid niya. No! That was his woman. He can't let Vincenzo to take her away. Kung hindi mapapasa kanya si Henrietta, might as well drag her down with him!
He run towards his wife and was about to grab her when Mikael hold him at pinadapa siya sa sahig habang ang mga kamay ay nasa likod.
"Bastard! Let go! She's my wife!"
Vincenzo turns to the side to see the woman he is constantly thinking of. There was a longing in his eyes when he stared at her. 'I'm sorry.'
Henrietta slowly shook her head and bit her lips. How ironic isn't it? Akala niya she was decisive enough to not see this scheme pero niloko pa din siya. Ang tanga mo Henrietta! You never noticed it! Pero wala naman s'yang pake noon, eh, o meron nga ba?
She bitterly smiles and excuses herself for a while.
"Restroom," bulong niya sa lola niya.
Tumango naman si Helen sa apo at pinisil ang malamig na kamay nito. She looked at her concern. 'Oh, her apo.' She is sure this revelation blown her.
Vincenzo calmly follow Henrietta with his eyes. Pinigilan niya ang sarili na 'wag itong sundan. He needed to sort things out ang nangyayari ngayon.
"Vin..." Dinig n'yang tawag ng nanghihinang si Dencio.
He didn't bother to look at the old man and said to the guards on Vicencio's side, "Drag him out."
Nagsusumigaw si Vicencio at matalim na nakatitig kay Vincenzo.
"Akala mo nanalo ka?! Hah! You're late Vincenzo! She is married to me, forever!"
Dumilim ang mata ni Vincenzo ngunit kalaunan ay bumalik ito sa dati.
"How sure are you?"
"What?! What do you mean?!" Vicencio shouted. He was feeling cold all of a sudden.
'Imposible! Totoong kasal sila ni Henrietta!'
