Chapter 31: A hint of distrust

R4: Hm quite late already...

Thought the doll as she stared at the clock in the cafeteria from her table, her dinner right in front of her but her mind more than anything tired, not really wanting to eat unlike the rest of the girls also on her table or the tables around, peacefully having their dinners while chatting with each other.

R3: Everything okay R4?

Said R3 as she stared at R4, tray in hand as she finished eating and awaited confirmation from R4.

R4: Hm? Oh, eh just not really hungry

Responded the sister looking down at her tray with two plates, one bigger plate containing mashed potatoes and the second smaller plate containing some vegetables and meat, both plates being slightly eaten but in the end, most of the food was still left behind.

R3: Feeling unwell?

R4: Eh? No, just not hungry I guess

R3: Why staring at the clock so much then?

R4 then stared back at her sister, shrugging rather quickly after locking eyes with her, R3 closed her eyes however as she sighed and just got up passing by R4 as she went to leave her empty tray back on the counters.

R3: Go sleep if you won't keep eating then, no need to force yourself

R4 just hummed in response as she kept looking at the clock, she wasn't waiting for anything really, she just wanted time to pass by for some reason, maybe boredom took over her but whatever that was making her space out was no more than just roaming harmlessly on the back of her mind, perhaps it really was boredom.

Her own world view however didn't last for much longer because soon enough R5 sat down where R3 previously sat, right in front of her. R4 snapped out and looked at her sister.

R4: Where did ya go?

R5: I was helping out Nikolay with something and had that revision of his made to me also sorry for leaving you alone on guard duty

R4: Eh it's alright

Said R4 giving a glance at her sister's food, seems like they picked the same combination for dinner. R5 suddenly let out an oh as she seemed to remember something.

R5: Right, almost forgot, after you're done eating go to Nikolay, its your turn with that

R4 raised her eyebrow as she looked back at her sister, a bit surprised that he would do the revision so late into the day but maybe he needed them as soon as possible she thought.

R4: I will go right now I guess, thanks for informing

Said R4 picking up her tray and getting up, swiftly turning tail from the table and walking back to the counters to leave the tray and head towards that room in which Nikolay did the previous checks on them.

R5 hummed and took her fork to start eating, her aura at ease, seemingly her being late for dinner did pay off in the end to relax her mind.

She said looking at the wall in which they kept track of papers and connected dots with strings be it information or images taken by them, just like what you would see in detective movies, this one however not being as messy and just some general info they got.
