For so many people...They think that a Super and a Luthor are meant to hate each other. A fight that literally would lead to so many deaths. A Luthor...A name despised by many, a name when said that sounds like venom...A name nobody wants to hear nor see. A Super...Not a name, but a Symbol...A Symbol of hope and justice, a symbol many want to see, a symbol that brings safety...A Symbol being praised and glorified. But who knew a Luthor and a Super would be star crossed lovers?
The day Kara and Lena met, that's when they knew...'She's the one'. It was truly a love at first sight...And little did they know, they would be rewriting the stars. Their friendship blossomed through the years, lifting each other up higher and higher...But so did their feelings for each other grow stronger and stronger. Their road had bumps, but the biggest obstacle to cross was when Lena found out Kara has been lying to her for all of those years.
It was like, the universe was trying to stop them from rewriting the stars...
It broke her finding out who her 'best friend' truly is. Kara apologized and meant every word...But the day in the fortress made her wonder, were they truly meant to be with each other? After seeing the pain she inflicted on Lena damaged her to the core...It was even worse than Kryptonite. The pain was agonizing and she wished it would stop...It was like she wanted to breathe but couldn't. And Lena, she was suffocating in her built up walls. She tried so bad to hate Kara, but as how much she wanted to hate the Super, her heart wouldn't let her...And that made the pain even more suffocating. Both suffered, both felt the pain...The pain they wanted gone, they just wanted it to be over so bad...But how could they stop the pain?
The day Lena finally understood why Kara hid her identity, that's when she noticed why she couldn't hate Kara. But as much she wanted to run to Kara's apartment, knock the door and kiss her as if there were no tomorrow...She started to worry if her being a Luthor and Kara being a Super would just bring more terror and pain to them and to the people. So as she slowly forgave Kara, she ignored her feelings. The least thing she wanted to do was hurt Kara even more.
And Kara, every time she passed the L-Corp building she fought with herself that she shouldn't go check up Lena. In her mind, she still thought that Lena still hated her, but she didn't know that Lena has forgiven her...Or is on her way to forgiving. Kara has forgiven Lena a long time and even if Lena would not forgiver her, she would be there for her no matter what...She would be there, because no matter what the struggle, the pain...Her heart always belonged to Lena.
And one day, they both got the opportunity to rewrite the stars...
Finally, after having a complete war in her head...Lena knocked on a door that was way to familiar. Not even a second later Kara opened the door and was taken by surprise when she saw someone standing there she didn't expect. "Lena..." She whispered in surprise. Lena came to tell Kara she has fully forgiven her and wanted to rebuild their friendship. But both just stood there gazing into each other's eyes...They noticed their eyes filled with forgotten stars that should be remembered again, stars that should be correctly alined...Stars that should be rewritten.
Kara broke out of her trans and let Lena in. Her home felt so foreign without Lena in it, but just when Lena entered her apartment...She felt like she was home. They talked and eventually have forgiven each other...Then Lena asked if Kara was even still willing to fix their friendship with each other. And the Super simply answered: "I don't want a friendship...I want more." And by those few words, Lena knew that this was not one sided. But her worries came up to the surface. "As much as I love you too...We can't be together Kara. I'm a Luthor and you will carry my burden too, people will hate you for dating a Luthor and probably hurt you. Nobody would want us to be together. We would just bring more problems to the world, because you're a Super...I just don't want to hurt you Kara." Lena blurted out, with tears streaming down her cheeks and her voice was filled with worry.
Kara stepped towards Lena and grabbed her hand gently. "I never cared about our names or symbolism...I never cared that you are a Luthor...I never cared that I am a Super who is madly in love with a Luthor...I never cared if people would dislike me, because I would be dating you...I never cared about that, all I cared about, is you Lena. My cousin and your brother just got it wrong...All they did was put a weight on our shoulders, making it seem like a Super and a Luthor are impossible...They blocked us from rewriting the stars. So what do you think about rewriting the stars?" Kara said those words that you could feel and hear the love she has for Lena. And as Lena looked into blue eyes, she saw the stars in them that were glowing. Gently, she also stepped forward and slinged her arms around broad shoulders and Kara gently grabbed her by the waist. "Let's rewrite the stars..." Lena whispered and crashed her lips onto Kara's. The kiss was soft and so many feelings and meanings were put into it...It was everything for them. And they could feel how they were rewriting the stars, they could feel how new stars were created, others gone and other's alined, building beautiful constellations.
Who knew that two star crossed lover, a Super and a Luthor, would be rewriting the stars?
