My Sweet Zeke (P40)

Kai's POV.
Zeke's coming

I feel so anxious. How am I supposed to face Zeke now? How will he reacted when he finds out that I took off the bracelet. How will he react when he sees me with my mate. What face is he going to make when I tell him that I can't be with him? How hurt will he be when's he realizes I've tricked him.

"Kai he's the one who tricked you. You weren't trying to play with his feelings. You were just confused. So please don't worry about those things."

"How can't I?" I curl up on Arrio's bed. "yes he tricked me but I also allowed it. He needed my power to create that bracelet in the first place. I also had fault"

"But you didn't help create the bracelet."

"Yes I did... Remember when I said that I've always known."

"What? What are you talking about?" Axel asks. I hear the bedroom door open and smell my mate. "Kai?"

"Kai? Are you ok love?" Arrio asks, laying next to me. "What's wrong?" He wraps his arms around me and holds me close.

"There's something I need to tell you."

"You can tell me anything." He kisses my neck.

I inhale deeply "I helped create the bracelet." His body tenses next to mine but he doesn't let go, thankfully. I don't think I can say this without him hugging me. "Zeke needed something to base the lock on and my power was the best option." I turn in his arms so I can face him.

"But that doesn't mean you exactly created it. Right?" He looks at me with a frown. He obviously knows the answer.

"No Arrio. I was present when he created it."

"So did you lie?"

"No! It's not that I was lying Arri. It's that I blocked out those memories with my magic and the bracelet. The bracelet didn't just control our mate bond, it also contained my magic. My magic created the lock but in a way it backfired. So I was not able to release it."

"Why? Why did you let it happen?" Arrio asks.

"You need to know everything first before I answer that." I say. He nods so I continue. "My middle name is Ahpuch, meaning the god of death. My parents named me that because while my mother was pregnant of me many rogues were getting murdered. They blamed me for it."

"How is that your fault? You weren't even born."

"I'm not sure. They never gave me a good explanation. All I understood was that person who was killing them was looking for me. Which in all honesty doesn't make any sense" I chuckle dryly.

"Looking for you?" He pushes.

I shake my head. "I don't really know why. I only know a few things.,. Like I know my first name means Sea. Zeke named me that." I whisper the last part. Arrio pulls back and looks at me "yeah, he was around before I even came out. He's always been there for me."

"Kai." He hugs me close again.

"Arrio you're my mate and I'm going to stay with you .." I pause "but I'm not leaving Zeke."

"Kai?"

"I've always had him in my life. I know he was trying to break us apart and it's fucked up but I need you to understand that he did this all for my protection."

"How was that for your protection?"

"Because I'm a hybrid." Arrio looks away. "You know many don't accept us as it is but I'm also a descendent of Calipso. She was the enemy of many mythical creatures."
