Random Rants 5: Now with Furbys

Evil Eva AU of cursed

Ok after writing out my idea, maybe not evil Eva, but like corrupted/dark/edgy Eva

Eva never managed to escape from the palace initially (which mean she never met Cas) and eventually just became cold and bitter towards the world

And like idk, Cas would've gotten rescued by Sammy or something so Cas probably still ended up living with Maven (and like, I guess Alice probably would've been there too)

So time skip to around the time the events of cursed take place (Eva and Cas are 14 (almost fifteen))

Cassie and Hunter joined the same rebel group as Ada at some point

And Flynn shows up at Maven's house one day and is like "I wanna go save Eva"
And Cas is like "whomst?" Except not bc he probably heard about Eva a lot from Maven and Alice

And the three of them are like "ya we'll help"

They go to the rebel group with Ada and Co in
And they decide to help them out

And they manage to infiltrate the palace and Flynn finds Eva and tries to convince her to come home with them, and even tells her that Alice will be there
But Eva doesn't believe him and tells him to leave her alone - that she doesn't want to be forced to think about home any more

She's kinda just given up on hoping anymore (like keep in mind, she would still have the initial curse at this point) she also feels like she doesn't deserve to be happy again as that's all she's been told by the queen for the past few years

So they realise they can't convince her to come home
But they know she definitely hates it there, she probably told Flynn that herself

So these dumbasses are like "Welp, guess we gotta get her out with a bit of force"

Like Cas is the one voice of reason and is like "maybe would could actually convince her"

And the rest are like "you think that will work?????" And basically dismiss his plan

So he sneaks in without the others and encounters Eva who's basically like "who the f uck are you?" But that doesn't last long bc soon she's like "wait what the f uck is going on"
Bc
The curse is breaking

And like Eva hasn't seen colours or felt warmth for almost eight years at this point
So she probably just starts sobbing bc it's really overwhelming but like in a good way and she like thanks Cas over and over and over again

But as this is happening, the queen walks in on them and bc this isn't Cursed without these two dorks both getting cursed, she curses them and chains their souls together

And like, they manage to escape like they do in regular cursed and it turned out everyone went looking for Cas bc, y'know, he disappeared
So it's a bit of a shock to them when they see him with Eva

Eva is bombarded by Maven and Alice and Flynn who are all really happy to see that she's safe as Cas explains what happened

Eva and Cas properly introduce themselves to each other bc they haven't actually done that yet and that's pretty important, y'know

But Eva feels off this whole time bc
Yeah, she's happy for the first time in literally almost a decade
But she really doesn't think she deserves that happiness bc she's basically been conditioned into hating herself (something that is also kinda in regular Cursed (specifically the rewrite) too)

And yeah that's all I've got
