Specifically the end of the third book "Heir of Fire"

I HATE the king of Adarlan
I would like to smash his head in with a brick

Things were going so well ;-;
Aelin managed to free Rowan from his blood oath with Queen Maeve and I was like "FUCK YEAH!!!"
Sorscha and Dorian had such an adorable romance like it was genuinely really sweet
And like Chaol and Aedion were vibing I guess

But no!!!
The king just had to ruin it all

This bastard KILLED Sorscha
Crushing my hopes of Dorian getting a wholesome romance
But not only did he kill her
He beheaded her

Ya
I haven't even gotten onto the other shit this meme is already appropriate

And then!!!
He arrested Aedion
And like
Idk I felt pretty neutral about Aedion
But this still adds to my anger

He then tried to kill Chaol!!!!!!
But Dorian saved him with his magic and yelled at Chaol to escape

And Chaol, as he was about to leave, turned to Dorian and said "I love you"
And like yeah it seems romantic out of context and I would've been more than happy for it to be romantic
It was in a brotherly way

It doesn't matter anyway
We already got gay fae in the TOG books

And THEN

ok Dorian is the Prince
Which means he is the King's son
Which makes this even worse

The king put this collar thing on Dorian which basically turns him into this kinda demonic thing
And it's just

Yeah

K I think I've got my anger out
But the last book in the series (which I'm far from reaching but I do have it now)

Is almost one thousand fucking pages long
So that's gonna be fun
