Comfort Zone

A wonderful day at the creek it was, everyone was cheering and running around playing with their friends, doing what they pleased. Not worrying about what others would thought and The Stump Kids ended up being some of those children. They were about to make Jp into a human canon, but just as they were about to do everything a familiar sound of a whistle filled through their ears.

The trio looked over to where the whistle came from. Jason and the two other scouts. "So you guys are trying another one of your death traps?"Jason rudely said. "Ugh, Jason..."Kelsey thought for a moment. Jason began arguing about how what they are doing is dangerous and the consequences that followed along. Tiny raindrops started falling from the once blue sky. Jason did a panicked look then got out his emergency umbrella out and made it shield him from the sprinkling rain. "Jason, calm down it's just sprinkling"Tony said. "Tony, I don't want to get sick!"Jason said in a slightly panicked tone.

Craig focused on Jason for a moment, he has never seen Jason so scared of sprinkling rain. "Jason, are you scared?"Craig asked. Jason did an embarrassed look and let his face turn red due to his embarrassment. "yes..." Jason admitted. "Looks like someone still has their training wheels on..."Kelsey thought. "I try not to be so paranoid! I do!"Jason defended. An idea popped into Craigs head watching Jason shielded himself from the sprinkling rain. "Hmm,tell ya what,Jason,maybe we can get you get rid of your worries"Craig smirked. "w-what...?"Jason said. "Until dinner time maybe we can teach you what's it's like to have a bit of carelessness in you"Jp said.

Jason, without hesitation agreed to it. Letting Tony and Boris walk off, so he could truly experience what it's like to have a mind of a carefree creek kid. The Stump Kids got Jason to the stump where they normally hung out. "Alright Jason, first things first, get rid of your umbrella and truly get a chance at the beauty of rain"Craig said holding his hand out for Jason's umbrella. Jason sighed, closed up his umbrella and gave it to Craig. Jason blinked in shock, he felt the sprinkling rain fall on his skin and get on him,Jason has never gone so far without being shielded by rain,he has always feared of getting the flu.

"Jason? Jasie!"Craig called out, Jason snapped back to reality, "Come on, Jason! We have training wheels to get off ya!"Kelsey said grabbing onto Jason's wrist and running towards one of the tallest trees they knew. Jason didn't even say a word, he just let The Stump Kids take him to the tree,not even bothering to bring up a license to do such stuff.

When they were finally at the tree, Jason thought,"Hope this is safe...".Jason eyed Craig, he saw Craig get out four bungee jumping cords, "Uh,C-Craig, why do you have those?" Jason asked sounding worried for a second. "Jason, have you ever been bungee jumping?"Jp asked getting one of the cords on him Jason shook his head as a no. "Well, today's your lucky day!"Jp said, "W-what?"Jason asked,Craig got one of the cords on Jason and helped him climb up the very top of the tree.This has ever been Jasons first time climbing a tree,due to him not wanting a sprinter and getting an infection.

When the four were finally at the top of the tree,Jason took a moment to enjoy the moment this high up.The sprinkling rain on his body and experiencing such amazing stuff,is this what it's like to be out your comfort zone. "Alright,Jason,you ready to be out your comfort zone?!"Kelsey asked with a daring look.And Jason gave her a nod with another daring look.Kelsey smirked then held onto the other end of the bungee jumping cord,and let Jason jump.Jason ended up closing his eyes half way down the jump,but he finally got the courage to open them.He did an amazed look at the ground getting closer to him as he fell,the scene felt just perfect.Jason didn't even know why he was even so paranoid,why was he always a safety police? Just as Jason thought the ground was gonna hit his face,the cord stopped.

Kelsey stopped reeling in Jason when Jason was finally back at the tree top. "Soooo...How was your first time bungee jumping?!"Craig excitedly asked Jason. "I-It was kinda amazing..."Jason said still not believing he really did that,he always viewed himself as a goody-two shoes scout that tried to protect the creek.After sometime of various challenges for Jason to really be out his comfort zone,the final level was here.

In front was Jason was a mud slide,caused by the sprinkling rain that has increased a little. "This is the final level,Jason,you ready?"Craig asked.Jason smiled and nodded. "Mud sliding!"Kelsey hollered then jumped down the huge mud slide,then Jp went,then Craig,and last was left Jason.Jason took a deep breath and slide down the mud slide with The Stump Kids,laughing cheerfully letting the mud get on him,and the rain fall on his body.

The slide then reached its end,Jason got up looking at his muddy self, "Dang..."Jason mumbled looking at himself,he never knew how much fun felt like.Craig smirked, "I believe you deserve this back,Jason"Craig said handing back Jasons umbrella.Jason got his umbrella from Craigs hand.Jason gladly smirked, "I'm finally out my comfort zone..."Jason said smiling.

As Jason was enjoying his fun,a huge gush of wind came at Jason.Sending him and his open umbrella flying, "JASON!!!!"Kelsey screamed, "He must be paralyzed with fear! He have to go get him!"Jp said then began running towards Jason that was in the air.But Jp thought wrong,Jason was truly enjoying the moment,he've had never experienced this type of amazingness in his life,who knew the real creek world was so great? Just as Jason was having the time of his life,the wind caused him to crash into a tree branch.Jason fell to the ground,but instead of getting back up,a pain shot through his left ankle,and he let out the most loudest scream of pain.

The Stump Kids looked at the front of Jasons home,they got the news that Jason ended up spraining his ankle due to the fall.Craig sighed and rang the doorbell,Jason was the one to answer the door,Jp did a look of guilt when he saw Jasons ankle with a cast on it. "Jason! We are so sorry! We shouldn't have pushed you like that-!"Craig apologised.But Jason interrupted him with a forgiving look, "Craig,Jp,Kelsey,you guys don't need to apologise,really,I had the time of my life! Really I did! And I got truly got a taste of a real adventure,now I see why you guys love the creek so much and why you offered to help me stop being so paranoid"Jason thanked smiling. "Y-you're not mad?"Jp asked.Jason nodded, "Hm,well in that case,can we spend the day at your house again?!"Kelsey asked excitedly.Jason put a bright smile on his face and nodded letting the three in.
