You formed a forced smile on your (S/N) face, your parents set up a family gathering at their house for you guys and you've never been so bored. "Psst, (Y/N)!"Your cousin Todd whispered to you as you guys other family members chatted with each other. "Yeah?"You questioned, "This is so boring, when is this over. I'm so bored..."Todd said. You checked the time on your phone, "In about four hours, I know...Its so boring..."You mumbled. Then you saw an idea popped into Todd's head, "Maybe I can take you to meet my friends at the creek, I think they'll like you"Todd whispered to you, before you could answer Todd tugged on his moms droopy sleeve to get her attention.

"Hey mom, can me and (Y/N) hang out in her room? We wanna do some catching up"Todd lied. Todd's mother nodded and told both of you to be back in half an hour. You and Todd put on a big smile and raced up to your room. Todd put an alarm on his phone so he knew when to get back. And you already got (C/N) to cover for you guys until you two got back. Todd and you snuck out your bedroom window and Todd walked to the creek where his other friends were. Aka the 10 Speeds, a group of kids that would ride bikes all day.

"You sure they're like me?"You asked, Todd nodded now where him and his friends would hang out. "Handlebarb! Canonball! Warpspeed!"Todd called out. Those were his friends names, you gave them a shy wave and a nervous smile. Todd introduced you to everyone nicely so apparently Handlebarb was sorta the leader of the group. You shook hands with Handlebarb after Todd introduced her to you, "Pleasure to meet, ya"Handlebarb brightly smiled shaking your hand. After awhile, Warpspeed suggested to do some bike riding.

But there was one problem, you didn't have a bicycle or even know how to ride one. "Uh...Guys there's one problem...I don't have a bike..."You said. "Oh that's cool, we have a spare bike you can use"Handlebarb said pulling out a bike you can use. "Oh...Uh, Handlebarb I don't really know how to ride a bicycle..."You admitted rubbing the back of your neck nervously. "Oh that's cool, we can teach you. Now do you wanna start off with training wheels or no training wheels?"Handlebarb asked.

You were obviously a bit too old for the stereotypical training wheels that were used by little kids so you chose no training wheels and got on the bike. Canonball let you borrow some spare knee pads, shoulder pads and a helmet for your first practice.

Time Skip (4 months later)

You have been riding a bike for about 4 months now, and honestly. You were finally able to get the hang of it, now the only practice you had left was the different tricks you could do. But as you were riding your bike and chatting with Handlebarb, you accidentally rode over a sharp rock that caused you to get a flat. "Darn it, got any spare wheels?"You asked Handlebarb getting off your bike. "No, I don't. But maybe we can borrow one from the Junk Lord"Handlebarb suggested.

You nodded and walked to the junk pile with Handlebarb. "Junk Lord! Junk Lord!"Handlebarb called out when you two finally arrived at the junk pile. "Hey uh, I got a flat tire is there a way I could borrow a bike wheel?"You asked. "No! You can't, I'm fresh out! Go buy one or something"Junk Lord groaned it was clear he was having an awful day.

"You're out of wheels?! Are you sure you don't have one-"Handlebarb asked, "I don't have any left!"Junk Lord shouted, you and Handlebarb sighed and walked off to somewhere you could buy a new tire for your bike. Luckily you had some money on you so that meant you could buy a new wheel.

But as you guys were walking, a stick was thrown at the back of your head, Handlebarb and you turned around and saw a group of mean looking kids from your class. "(Y/N)?! Is that really you? Dang you really downgraded through the summer"One of the kids called out, you looked at your feet not wanting to interact with them. Those kids would always pick on you at school 24/7 you thought you were finally free from them because it was summer, but now they were right here.

"Hey! Leave her alone!"Handlebarb defended, "Oh wow, I see your stupid girlfriend is defending you now? Ha pathetic like always"Another kid called out. "Girlfriend?!"Handlebarb and you said with your cheeks reddening. One of the kids put on a devilish look and picked up a rock to throw at you both.

Panicked, you and Handlebarb ran off as fast as you both could away from the bullies, the rock made it crystal clear to run. "(Y/N), come on! We can hide in this tree!"Handlebarb whispered to you then help you climb up the tall tree. Luckily the leafs covered up most of the top part of the tree. "Come out come out wherever you idiots are!"The same kid that got a rock called out, you peaked down and saw them with their arms full of rocks.

You turned your attention to Handlebarb, you knew she was just as scared as you were. "(Y-Y/N)...If we don't make it, t-theres something I gotta tell ya..."Handlebarb said with her voice shaking. "W-What is it?"You asked with your voice also shaking with fear. "I-I...I like you...I've l-liked you for awhile and-"Handlebarb stuttered but you had to cut her off when you heard the group of bullies get closer.

"Ugh, we can't find those idiots...Maybe they ran off somewhere else..."One of the kids said, the other kids groaned and walked back home. After sometime it was safe to get down from the tree. "Thank goodness..."Handlebarb mumbled now down from the tree with you. "So, you've really been crushing on me?"You smiled devilishly, Handlebarb did an embarrassed look and tried to search for the right words to say. But you put that to an end by kissing her on her soft lips, and, Handlebarb didn't even think twice about kissing back. Knowing that she had you and those bullies were gone.
