Ring Pop (Gordy X Keef)

The song demo to the song, Ring Pop by Melanie Martinez is what inspired me to write this.

Gordy sighed and checked the time on his phone, it was finally his 13th birthday, he invited almost everyone he knew. But, there was one problem, no one was here yet, even though it has been half an hour.

Until finally, a knock was at the door. Full of hope it was everyone, Gordy rushed to the front door, only to see his best friend Keef with a big present for him. "Hey Gordy, sorry I'm late. But I brought you a present"Keef smiled. Gordy snorted and let Keef inside, Keef set his gift on the table where the gifts are suppose to be.

"At least one person showed up..."Gordy mumbled, Keef noticed the unhappiness in Gordys voice quickly. "Hey, atleast you have me, Keef!"Keef brightly smile showing his missing front teeth. Gordy snorted at how goofy his best friend was acting. He knew Keef was correct about what he said, at least he had Keef. "Guess you're right, but its a bummer Bobby couldn't come"Gordy said getting himself some cocca cola. "Yeah it is, but I'm sure the others will be here soon"Keef said.

"Maybe we can just watch our favorite shows until someone shows up finally"Keef suggested, Gordy smiled at Keefs suggestion feeling like he was right. "C'mon, I found one you might like!"Keef said grabbing onto Gordys hand and rushing over to where the tv was, Gordys cheeks began to become a tint red color once Keef grabbed onto his hand, but Gordy later tried to brush it off.

Time Skip

Gordy laughed at one of the jokes the woman on the tv made. "How did you find this?"Gordy asked, "I saw that my parents had a bunch of DVD's of it in the basement"Keef answered. As the show went on, the two Hockey Kids saw a kissing scene about to take place. "Ew!"Gordy and Keef said like little kids and covered each others eyes while giggling at the scene like little kids.

"Gross..."Gordy giggled, "Super gross"Keef jokingly agreed, he felt glad him and Gordy were covering each others eyes, because there was no way Keef wanted Gordy to witness him blushing. "Ya think its safe to uncover our eyes?"Gordy asked, "I think its safe"Keef said. Gordy and Keef snorted and uncovered each others eyes and continued to watch the show.

Time Skip

"Keef...Its gonna pop..."Gordy said as Keef was blowing up a balloon so big it wouldn't be a surprise if it popped. Keef and Gordy were behind the sofa blowing up balloons since Keef ran out of DVDs to watch after an hour. Gordy sighed and checked the time on his phone, it has already been 50 more minutes already, Gordy sighed sadly losing hope anyone would come as Keefs balloon popped and rubber went everywhere.

Keef noticed Gordys saddness and got another balloon for him, "How about you try one?"Keef offered. Gordy took the balloon and thought about it for a second, "Mr.Balloon says go for it, Gordy"Keef said holding up a pink balloon with a face drawn on it. Gordy laughed a little at Keefs creativity and blew up the balloon until it went pop. Gordy snorted when his balloon popped, he looked over to Keef and saw that he was doodling faces on some of the balloons. "Dude, I thought we were killing the balloons, not drawing on them"Gordy joked "If you didn't want people to doodle on your balloons, then why did you get some?"Said Keef.

"Cause I didn't know people would draw faces on them..."Gordy answered watching Keef draw on more faces on the balloons.

Time Skip

"Turn off the lights!"Keef whisper shouted to Gordy who was running to turn off the living room lights for them both. Keef suggested to do some shadow puppets after they popped all the balloons. After Gordy turned off the lights he ran down to behind the sofa with Keef to make shadow puppets with him. "Okay, okay guess this one!"Keef said then put his hands up to where the light was and made it form a wolf. "A wolf?"Gordy guessed. "How'd you guess?"Keef asked, "Probably just got lucky"Gordy said.

Time Skip

Gordy sighed staring at his phone, it had already been two hours and still Gordy and Keef were the only ones at the party. When Keef came back to behind the sofa, he again noticed his friends sorrow. "Keef, do you think I'm a loser?"Gordy finally spoke putting his cell phone in his pocket. Keef sat down next to Gordy feeling surprised by his question, a loser was it he asked? He must have been dreaming if he heard him correctly.

"A loser? Of course not! You have me!"Keef said, "Then why haven't the rest showed up? You know what they all say, no one goes to a losers birthday party or any event to they're holding"Gordy said, a sighed exited out of Keefs lips As he fiddled with his fingers a little. "H-Hey, Gordy...You know how you're my best friend and everything? Well uh...There's something I gotta tell ya..."Keef said rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "Hm? What's that?"Gordy said turning his face to his friend with missing teeth. "I uh...I've been crushing on you and I don't wanna see you view yourself as a loser, your parents when they cheer your name during your hockey games. They don't see you as a loser, they see you as a winner an actual hockey kid"Keef confessed.

Gordy couldn't help but go dead silent, but what truly caused his silence was the first part of Keefs sentence. "Keef, repeat the first part for me, a-again..."Gordy said in surprise. "I-I like ya?"Keef nervously said. "You actually liked me?"Gordy asked in surprise. "Yeah, I-I did. I even got you a ring pop to show you how much I cared"Keef said getting out a ring pop still in the wrapper. Gordy let Keef slip the ring pop on his ring finger like it was an actual piece of jewelry, then, a snort escaped from Gordy looking at the ring pop. "C'mon you goofball"Gordy said then pulled in Keef for a kiss, in the corner behind the sofa with almost no light.

But the sweet kiss was interrupted by a knocking at the door, "Hey! Gordy! It's us! Your teammates! We're sorry we're late, we can explain!"One of the teammates said knocking on Gordys door. Keef sighed and pulled away from the kiss letting Gordy answer the door, "Thanks for showing me a good time"Gordy smiled then kissed Keef on the forehead before turning back on all the lights and letting the other teammates in.
