The song at the top is what inspired me to write this.

Gordy's POV:I adjusted the tie on my suit and watched all the other people do their talking and drink their fruit punch. And then there was me,  by the benches in the gym room, the school dance. People act like it's the most important event at school, people run around the school like headless chickens for a date it's like a hunt.

And why do I show up? There's three things, the fruit punch, the music and I can be with my friends. But that's just about it, everyone had a date tonight, but except one person.

You guessed it, me. Gordy, I expected Keef to be here, but he wasn't. "Hey! Gordon!"I heard someone call out, "Hm?"I said turning my attention to whoever was talking to me. It was another boy from my science class, he was with his date I could tell she was ready for the slow dance to come on. "Where's your date?"He asked, "Oh, I don't really have one..."I answered. "You don't? Oh well, good luck trying not to feel awkward when the slow dance comes on and you have no one to dance with"He said then walked off with his date.

I looked at my watch, the slow dance was gonna be coming in a little bit. Everyone was getting their dates ready for the slow dance to come on. "So, you don't have a date either?"

I turned my head to my left, Keef was finally here. He really went all out for this dance, "Yep, no date, I didn't really think of it as a big deal, but since everyone here has a date, it feels kinda awkward"I answered. Keef did a face like he was thinking, "Wait right here..."Keef then slithered to the person working on the music. I just shrugged my shoulders and let Keef do what he needed.

Keefs POV:I sneaked over to the kid working the music, I knew one of Gordy's favorite songs would be perfect for this moment and maybe filled in the gap of awkwardness Gordy feels...

Gordy's POV:I sighed as I lost track of Keef already, man what could that guy be up too? He's full of surprises. Then, it was time for the slow dance, but this time the music was different. It played one of favorite songs, everyone was already slow dancing with their now boyfriends and girlfriends, and there was me, all alone with nothing to do but to stand still and look fancy in my new tux and hair slicked back. "Have no one to dance with?"

I looked to my right, it was Keef he must have snuck back to me. "Yep, no one"I mumbled under my breath feeling like an idiot that got all fancy for nothing. "Well, I change that for you"Keef winked, at first I wanted to say he was joking, but it became clear he was serious. Keef, my best friend was asking me to slow dance with him. Where's someone to pinch you to make sure you're not dreaming when you need em'?

I didn't even think about denying the offer, I grabbed onto the hand, Keef had out for me and let him bring me to the dance floor for a slow dance.

The song played as me and Keef danced (The song at the top is the dance they're slow dancing too), I had to say he was a good dancer. We were locked on each other's eyes, not paying attention if other people were staring at us, but I had say, I'm surprised that I'm not laughing at how clueless I was about what was happening next.

Time Skip:

Me and Keef walked home together after the school dance, we finally reached Keefs house, then before Keef went back inside Keef snuck a few words to me. "See ya soon" then just as I was gonna walk off back to my house. Keef pulled me to closer to him and kissed me on the cheek. "Bye Gordy!"Keef waved then went inside his house.

I held the cheek Keef kissed blushing red, looking dumbfounded. Something tells me I may have entered a relationship...
