Both Ela and Justin held hands spinning each other around singing their favorite song together waiting for school to be done, "You guys have such a wholesome friendship"Cohen complimented, "Thanks!"Ela and Justin said at the same time. The school bell rang louder as a sign school was over for everyone.

"Oh well, that was fun though"Ela smiled walking home with her friend, Justin. "Yeah, can't wait to have dinner at your house tonight, your parents and my parents will get along fine we'll be able to hang out more!"Justin said moving in his wheelchair to keep up with Ela. "Yeah, what's even better is that my dad was a king of a creek when he was a little, he used to go by, 'King Xavier'. Wonder why he stopped being king"Ela commented, "Eh, things happen"Justin responded.

Time Skip

After a few hours, a knock was at the door. "Justin's here!"Ela cheered running to the door to answer it, "Huh, just in time dinners ready, oh, Ela don't run in the house!"Xavier called out to Ela setting up the dinner table. "Sorry, dad! I'm just happy Justin is here!"Ela called out then opened the door. "Ela!"Justin cheered, "Justy!"Ela cheered giving Justin a welcoming hug then letting him come inside. "Oh, you must be Justin, my daughters friend. Well it's-"Xavier tried to say but almost choked seeing who Justin was with, Shawn, the former Honeysuckle Ranger of the creek when they were kids.

"I'm fucking screwed here..."Xavier said in his head seeing Shawn again, "Is everything okay, dad?"Ela said noticing her father looking like he was quite panicked. "Of course, sweetheart! And it's a pleasure to meet you..."Xavier lied through his white teeth referring to Shawn pretending this was the first time seeing him. How can he just cross one of the creek kids that he bullied until he had lost his status as kings path? How can he act like nothing had happened? "Pleasure to see you again, Xavier"Shawn said sarcastically hiding the glare he had in his eyes. Busted.

Justin and Ela turned to their fathers with curiosity, "You guys knew each other-"Ela tried to ask but Xavier cut her off, he hated interrupting people but he had to save himself from a bad memory of his childhood. "Anyways...It's great having you and Justin over for dinner tonight..."Xavier said trying his best not to sound awkward and maybe save himself from his daughter hating him.

Ela and Justin both looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders not knowing what was up with Xavier.

Time Skip

At first dinner was going great, both Ela and Justin had actual table manners, the food wasn't getting insulted and Shawn and Xavier weren't arguing, yet. Xavier avoided eye contact with Shawn at all times and pretended to be focused his daughter. As Ela and Justin were both talking, Justin brought up what Ela had told him once, "Hey, Mr.Ela's dad, can you tell us about the times when you were a king?"Justin asked politely. Xavier almost dropped his fork knowing he was done for, "More of a bully than a king..."Shawn mumbled luckily no heard it.

"Uh...Well Justin, that's a great question..."Xavier nervously began with a hell of a nervous grin on his face. "Is there something wrong, dad?"Ela asked, "Everything is fine, darling..."Xavier lied patting Elas head that was covered by her rosewood colored explorer hat. "Well, Justin, you could say I was a pretty decent-"Xavier nervously lied until he got interrupted by Shawn, "Okay I'm tired of this...Xavier cut the crap we know you were an awful king, heck I'm surprised some of the kids at the creek called you that"Shawn began.
