....

As the setting sun melted gold, thousands of feet of silky brocade clouds were spreading out in the western sky, and it was like a section of brilliant red cloud left by the fairies in the sky, which was brilliant and magnificent, and the atmosphere was full of magnificence.
The golden and purple glow enveloped the Palace, and the glazed tiles were brilliant and majestic.

Murong Ci and Shen Zhiyan came out of the study room and as they saw Ruyi rushing in, they asked her,

"What's wrong?"

Ruyi's face was full of worries, and she whispered:

"The Prince Regent is here, waiting for Your Highness in the Hall."

Murong Ci frowned slightly,

'What is he doing here?'

Ruyi asked again:

"Your Royal Highness, the Prince Regent is here, so do you still want me to have the food for dinner prepared?"

Murong Ci had just sent Qin Ruo to the Palace Internal Service Bureau for investigation on Xiao Yin and she wouldn't come back so quickly.

She decided to have Ruyi to prepare the meal, and invited Shen Zhiyan to have a meal with her, while waiting for Qin Ruo to return.

"Prepare the meal."
As she said, Murong Ci gestured to Shen Zhiyan and they stepped into the Hall together.

Inside the Hall, Murong Yu was sitting on a carved chair.
Because of the golden and purple afterglow of the setting sun outside, the Hall looked gloomy, and he was shrouded in shadows.

'What kind of look is that...'

She didn't know how to make sense of his look, but she felt as if a cold air slowly emerged from the dark mist.

Shen Zhiyan bowed and said:

"This official pays his homages to the Prince Regent."

Murong Yu got up and didn't look at him at all.
He instead cast an indifferent gaze on her face,

"I've heard that Your Royal Highness was almost assassinated and got injured.
This King is here to take a look at Your Highness' injuries."

"Thanks Prince Regent for your concerns...
This Prince is just fine and there's no major skin trauma."
Murong Ci said coldly,

"The sky will be dark soon, shouldn't the Regent return to the Palace?"

"Master Shen is here to investigate the case, right?"
Murong Yu asked calmly.

The subtle implication was that,

'If he hadn't left the East Palace yet, why must Your Highness be so anxious for this King to leave?'

"I have something to discuss with Master Zhiyan."
She looked at him frankly, and ordered the guards to chase away the undesired guest frankly:

'You're not welcome here!'

Shen Zhiyan secretly laughed aside, feeling that his cheeks were about to cramp.
He always felt that Murong Yu's words and deeds were a bit weird, but he couldn't say anything strange.
